  Does Debating Have to Be Abusive - To Be Effective ?

  my wife and i were having an interesting discussion about some of the debates that take place on the board here .

  now, granted most people , i feel upwards of 90 % on the board maybe higher try to be respectful in their debates or discussions on topics.

  i think we all had enough bashing in the witness organization.

  My First Witness to a Witness

  so, i don't start many topics here, but i felt this needed to be shared.

  i had just landed at the airport and was walking out of the concourse when i noticed a stand that had been set up by an obviously married older witness couple.

  they were very patiently waiting behind their counter covered with the latest publications.

  Are the annointed now the 'generation that will by no means pass away'?

  i have read on a couple of posts that the meaning of the generation has changed again.. i dont keep up to date with jw teachings anymore and haven't attended a meeting for many years so this is new to me.

  i have trawled the net and found a paragraph in a recent watchtower.

  is there anymore links that i can check out?

  My Dachshund Dog is acting strange

  my wife bought a little rubber toy that makes a sound when you squeeze it.

  it sort of looks like a small puppy.

  normally my little dog will play with these toys, bite them and make them squeel, throw them around the floor, but this one is different to her.

  I had a male cat that did that with a small suede mouse.

  Would carry it around and cry.

  He would bring it to me and drop it at my feet like it was a kill.

  I'd throw it and he'd run after it and bring it back to me.

  Do You Remember The Last Time

  long time faders and those who have been out for a while....do you remember your last day in field service or your last meeting?.

  my last day in field service was a "million" years ago.

  but, i remember it vividly.

  The last meeting I attended 24 years ago was when the announcement was made that I was removed as a pioneer.

  I didn't know they were going to make the announcement that night and there was an audible "whoosh" as all heads in the kingdom hall swiveled my way.

  In sheep like obedience, I swiveled my head too.
