The meeting tonight was UNBEARABLE
by Orgull ini had my tms tonight.
for those who don't know me, i no longer believe, but have only just begun my slow fade.. the meeting was unbearable.
first there was the brother who happily pointed out that i'd missed two meetings recently and that he was keeping track.

My typical 2hr mtg...
1930- Meeting starts, song ends, prayer ends....YOU walk in......find seat thats not close to the front. Dont want to look at two many ppl you dont have to see needlessly. So you try everything to sit in a corner in the back. But low and behold the brother in charge of seating late arrivals puts you in the back center row right in the speakers direct line sight and between 2 other freshly scrubbed brothers. No empty chair beside you . So now everytime u look up its YOU and the speaker it seems. Now is a good time to make sure you have extra gum easliy accessible from hand to mouth without causing too much comotion.
1945-By this time you have gone over everything you needed to do to leave your home safe and sound. and can start to contemplate your privacy whereas a lot of your movement has been stifled. But if there is an empty seat beside you hallalujah! You can now turn your bible anywhere and keep it open at that page even upside down, while you start to amuse yourself with more important endeavors. The Bible reading has started so u can turn there and follow along and keep reading until the song or start an independant study of how you would refute all the drivel being brainwashed into the minds around you.
2000- You tire of reading and fix your gaze upon the Scripture of the Year ..rearranging the lettters to spell swearwords. You start wondering how many ppl in the hall are thinking they wish they were somewhere else and how many are closet apostates. The elder you cant stand fills in for the last talk and you want to throw your Bible at him to see his reaction. Also you wonder what it would be like to run up to the stage and tackle the speaker Then just when you begin to think about who the most beautiful girl is and what u would like to do to her it s time for the song. You open the songbook to the wrong page and stare at the book hoping no one is watchin to see if ur lips are moving.
Next hour pretty much the same and you start to consider how to bring in a newpaper to read.......

Just a thought- The WT would see spying as a scripturally sound. Moses sent out spies. Joshua sent out spies. Other instances of spying in the Bible point to a theocratic warfare being waged in 1st century congregations all according to the WT's view. So it absolutely stands to reason that they would have Jehovahs backing in parting the red sea of apostates so they could go through into the new order having waged justifiable warfare. Just logical.

I just have to wonder when i think of all the gay couples that are secretly living at Bethel..They go to "work" each day, come home....free rent, free food, and they get to decide how long theyre going to "'put up with it all" before they fade away with no one ever knowing.......sad but funny all the same, And now reading this how many have been found out and kicked out....

Hi all,
You may have read something similar to this before but the specific details are interesting.
This was put on a UK forum by an XJW called Gordon...he gave me permission to use his post.

But with the right software a person can "eavesdrop" on what you are doing on your computer.
Program on TV a few months ago about privacy. It showed how someone, say parked in a car outside your home with a laptop, can pick up your Wi-Fi signal and listen in on your computer and see what you are looking at on the internet and your emails. Also with right software they can switch on your mobile phone and use it as a microphone to listen in to any conversation that may be having.
Interestly a while it came up on the JWD forum last year, if the Watchtower monitors such forums.
I knew a someone who helped install computers in Bethel. So I asked him
he is a top IT specialist. Below is what he sent me about the WT.
Of course the WBTS monitor the JWDs, in many different ways. They have readers that scan what is going on from "IP Hidden" or "Dynamic IP" sources. Also about 3 years ago they had some ex CIA types in (called the plumbers)come and installed a ALPHA programme called "Carnivore". Its a cut down version of some very specialist systems used by the intelligence services. Its an IP trace and system interrogation program. They plant "Land Mines" on forums and discussion boards that link to another site via their controlling site - "news article" or "Read this" - they then track the IP address and/ or plant a spyware cookie. They've cut back on this practice a lot now, and off shored it (deniability) due to the Data protection Act etc etc - but they still use it.
FYI all calls into and out of Bethel are recorded (including pay phones) - This is Salters, Paris, Mill Hill and Bittacy Hill, Patterson and Brooklyn - they use an Israeli system called COMVERSE for this. Also all IP (Internet Protocol) traffic is also logged in and out of the compounds as are all key strokes on computers and web sites visited - this is for secured wireless and Ethernet "connect Direct". Interesting thing at Patterson and Bittacy is that the steel shanked building is resistant to external Wireless - so they installed an adsl wireless internal system that is open and looks external -but is in fact internal and monitored, just to catch people out. They discovered a Homosexual couple in Bittacy Hill using this wireless track and got them both disfellowshiped. -

If ur child died, would u visit the grave and always "talk" to them?
by fedorE inalthough i still have doubts there is life after death, i believe i would be hanging on to every last vestige of my son that i could and that means talking to him.
talking into the air and crying.
realizing this is his final resting place.

Over the years when i have met someone that has lost a loved one I have ask them " How soon after your loss did u feel a presence, as if your loved one is still around you? Or i would ask." Have u felt their presence" More often than not the person says yes i feel them around me. Can this be the same feeling one gets from going to the loved ones gravesite? Imagined but still comforting?
I believe our inablility to let go of loved ones says a lot about our humanity. For some life seems pointless to live without a lost wife or son or daughter. Others dont deal with the pain and show no emotion. But the vast majority of ppl suffer loss. There is a time to die but never an acceptable time to die.Yet it is our future. Our time will come. We know it. So during our lives at this moment when struck with tragedy we anguish and ask Why but the grave is there and we can visit this final place of rest and have some sense of closeness or chose to live with the memory inside of ourselves without going to the gravesite.

Although i still have doubts there is life after death, i believe i would be hanging on to every last vestige of my son that I could and that means talking to him. Talking into the air and crying. Realizing this is his final resting place. Trying to attain some closure is next to impossible i would imagine, especially since that old "hope of the ressurection" would be dangling like a carrot in front of my face every day. The very fact that I would never ever see him again IS what would bring me to the grave regularly so that I would talk and he would "listen". Even though deep inside i intellectually understand he exists no more. The length of this "closure" is impossible to talk about. How painful it is to lose someone you love. If we had of "evolved" with less emotional pain we would truly be less human. We are walking emotional time bombs.

I just can't shake this feeling about the word Jehovah, and Now I know why
by A-Team inhad to do a little historic research to find out that jehovah is actually 2 hebrew words compounded: yah(h) and hovah.
yah(h) means: "i exist," "i am," "i create," or "i will be or bring into being.
hovah means: ruin, mischif, but yet,it's root, havvah, translates as: "calamity, iniquity, mischief, mischievous (thing), naughtiness, naughty, noisome, perverse thing, substance, very wickedness.

INTRESTINGLY IF A jw WAS TO GIVE A TALK, AND STATE WHAT THEY NORMALLY DO ie THAT THE USE OF THE "NAME" IS THE IMPORTANT THING. THEN PROCEED TO USE THE NAME 'YAHWEH" FOR THE REST OF THE TALK HE'D BE RECIEVING A NICE TONGUE LASHING AT LEAST! ESP. IF ITS A SUNDAY TALK! JWS WOULD BE LOOKING AROUND THE HALL AT EACH OTHER. BEFUDDLED. THEN SOMEONE SOMEWHERE WOULD COME UP WITH THE IDEA THAT THIS IS CAUSING DIVISIONS OR AT LEAST A DISRUPTION IN THE PEACE ENJOYED AT THE MEETINGS. THE BROTHER WOULD BE ADMONISHED AT LEAST PRIVATELY TO WHAT HIS BELIEFS ARE EXACTLY. ALL BECAUSE HE WAS USING A MORE PRECISE PRONOUNCIATION OF THE TETRAGRAM JUST LIKE THE NAME BROSHURE SAYS .TO DO. THAT IS WHAT I CALL A STUPID IDIOTIC COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME RELIGION. FU*K THEM AND THE HORSE THEY RODE IN ON.
