I go to church every weekend. But I like to switch up the congregations. Sometimes, I might even attend two on the same day day.
You may have heard of the more mainstream ones like First Congregation of Macy's, Holy Temple of Saks Fifth Avenue, Loving Covenant of Dillards. And I found this new church that I attend with girlfriends at least once a month, its called United Church of Brunch. But today I'll definitely be attending the Northside Church of Target since I'm low on laundry supplies.

Its statements like the one in para.19 that really get me. Hasn't enough time passed already to know who's been naughty or nice? How much more watching does he have to do before he acts? Even if not in my behalf, then in the behalf of all the children, poor, the ill and the homeless. And why does God have to prove anything to an inferior being like Satan? Stop watching and act!
Its like the Chairman of a global Fortune 50 company addressing his employees that "The lead janitor said that none of you really like working here. So, everyone must come to work with a smile everyday and continue to smile all day until the lead janitor is convinced that you all like working here, then I will give everyone ten years of paid vacation. If anyone takes a day off or doesn't smile and extol the company then we are starting all over again until I can prove to the lead janitor that everyone likes working here. I'll be watching you. For those of you that put in overtime, you will get the same reward as everyone else but you be a lot happier while you're working toward your reward. Most people would quit and go work someplace else because they would think the whole company had lost it's friggin mind!

Are you kidding me? This had nothing to do with prayer. It was just the best way out of a jam. Its like little JW kids that don't go to school on holidays...if you don't show-up then you don't have to participate...what does prayer have to do with that?
And why is this article written like its for grade schoolers?

i'm thinking that, as a born-in, i was raised thinking that everybody who wasn't a dub was stupid and i had to go door-to-door to enlighten them.
and that the ones who were so stupid and stubborn as to not respond to my message (which was all of them, lol!
You are spot on. Professionally and in the JW world, I was fine. Now that I am out and working on connecting socially, at first I came off very brass. But I've been working on it. Its has gotten a lot better now that I know non-JWs are not what I was taught to believe for so many years.

There are websites that let you do a free listing of your timeshare. But yes, you will have to really LOWER the price to get it to move. Don't trust realtors that sell timeshares they will rip you off because they will want you to pay an appraisal fee which is totally bogus.
quite a few people on jwd have said they suffer from complex post traumatic stress disorder ( c-ptsd).
i'm not sure how well this issue has been discussed.
c-ptsd is slightly different than ptsd.
Thanks. I manifested a number of the symptoms after making the actual decision to leave. Its good to know that I wasn't just going crazy.
i was recently looking up some stuff about resurrected gods that predate christ (there are many)... .
i found mithra/mithras.
i guess i will need to take a trip to the library.

There is a documentary about folks that have the same or very similar story to Jesus centuries before Jesus was born. It includes Mithras. It was quite interesting. I believe is available via google video. I'm going to see if I find a link.

No, I left on my own. I sent many years forcing myself to believe it was the truth. It did, however, help me realize that life after the org was worth living.
show aired thursday 12/11.. they were talking about losing your virginity and who you told when it happened.
sheri mentioned that she wrote it in her diary and sister found it, tore out the page and took it to their mom and her pleading with her mom not to tell the elders.
she talks about sitting in front of the 3 elders with her dad and being asked very probing questions like if she had oral sex.
Sent this clip to a couple of JW friends and they were outraged when I spoke to them. Because you can now talk to people that have been reproved they called Sheri and a liar and says her story has no basis. Then I reminded them of the change back in the late 80's and they quietly said it sounded familiar. All of them are older than me. If I remember it then they should too.
But they still believe, in their words, its just one of Satan's tactics and he is definitely approving of Sheri. One of them actually said the world doesn't understand that the elders are not like the rest of the religious leaders and that the elders are clean, honest and upright in all regard and probably had to ask such detail questions based on what they have been instructed to do and to help guide them to best decision for the congregation.
Unbelievable...these folks are brainwashed for sure. And proves that the org is betting on folks forgetting organizational changes with time.
