Is Jesus Jehovah?

i'm watching some youtube video's from newagegamer3018.

before in my research...i watched some of his video's when he was a jw apoligist.

now he has da'd himself and is defending the scriptures, not jw's.. this is the first time ever that i actually am starting to think/beleive that jesus and jehovah are the same thing.

Taking the bible at face value, the answer is no. Jesus clearly stated that he came to do the will of one that sent him. This indicates two separate people. Jesus clearly stated that his father was greater than he was. Thus they are not equal.

Now when you throw in the religious jibber-jaber, you're liable to come up with any number of concoctions about who they are.

Anyway, same or not, anyone know where they might be vacationing? There are a several inhabited drowning islands off the coast of Japan that could use some assistance, not to mention about a billion other folks.

The info under 'Customs' and 'Structure' screams man-made religion! It would be great if everyone knew this info before studying with the JWs. Reading it now after having been away for a while, its understandable why folks never opened the door.

Also, I've learned more about the history of the JWs after leaving than my many years in the org. You can only wonder how many others fall into the same category?

lol, tonight they had a halfway house with the name "jehovah house" over the front entrance.. i wonder if the cong will get all giddy about "the mention of his name" on this one..

this reminds me of when I was a kid and we passed a church while preaching that had the quote "As for me and my household we will serve Jehovah" beautifully and largely carved into the front of the building structure. I asked my mom "I thought we were the only ones that knew about Jehovah?" I remember the JWs being very offended by it.

But I'm sure they saw the episode as further validation that they are the true religion.

Good for you!! After a while the hiding becomes tiresome and you begin to ask yourself why you hide at all. Then you realize it doesn't make sense even if it means losing the JW friendships you have. I too have started being honest with my JW friends about not attending the meetings or service anymore. They haven't put the elders out on me but I haven't heard from them since...but life goes on. Life is too short to live a lie or be in a perpetual state of limbo.

BTW..this one was me for several months at a KH where I didn't know anyone during my fade and NO ONE said anything to me. Not a word. Guess they thought I was DF'd or something

Those were not actual JW songs, I figured it was for copyright reasons but the melodies were similar.

When she was out in service with older sister, did she have on blue jeans going from door-to-door? I've preached in jeans before but it was in a very remote area in another country but they were in the city.

everytime i talk to my mom about the religion i once was a part of, she always throws scriptures at me.

even though i provided her and my 'anointed' step dad with an 85 page letter of research on this religion, provided quotes of all failed prophecies, and all the bs the society feeds them, personal emails from the un and letters from the society in their stupid defence....they just took it as apostate material.

my step dad even admitted he didn't read the whole thing, but he got the 'just' of my point.

Good point AG. I actually came to that conclusion several years ago while conducting a bible study. The righteous will always be here on the earth it doesn't mean that it will be in a paradise.

Good point IP_SEC, no need to argue over the bible. I say just let people be, until they because a physical danger to others.

Ted Haggard---Is He Still A Con?

he refuses to state that he's a homosexual.

he's in therapy but just this week, new allegations that ted confirmed "came out" that he was involved with another male in 2006. he looks like a major hypocrite.

hbo has a special about him this week.
