Makes no sense considering the JWs have simplified material for adults. Oh wait, adults can get jobs that pay money that can be donated to the WBTS. It makes sense now.

My, my, times have changed...
by DATA-DOG inquestions from readers?
why does not the watchtower society publish simplified material for parents to use in teaching their children bible truths?.
-a question based upon frequent inquiries by readers.. jehovah god lays upon the parents themselves the responsibility of teaching their children.

I noticed that despite what I prayed for I only received what I worked for or took action on. If I prayed and just waited for it to happen I got zero, zilch, nada.
I'm sure people on government assistance pray and so does Richard Branson...yet, one of these is not like the other ;)

A New Video - Helping kids get ready for service
by sosoconfused inhttp://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/family/children/become-jehovahs-friend/videos/lets-go-in-service/.
it all seems so playful and cutsie wootsie to an insider i suppose, i am seeing posts all over facebook about how this is just what my kid needs.. this is truly proper food at the proper time blah blah blah blomit blomit vomit vomit... the funniest part is however is that it cuts out at the end by saying "let's practice what you are going to say".. .
why not make the video longer and discuss how you can get an idea for a 6 year old on how to talk to a grown person about how they are going to die unless you study the bible with me..

UN-Believable...give them a few more years and they will be celebrating some holidays. Am I the one that remembers when the JW leaders used to criticize other religions for creating cartoons for kids?

Who left or got stumbled over the 1995 generation thing?

how did you feel?
how did it help you wake up?

The 1995 generation change was the beginning of the end for me. It was my 1975. I seemed to be the only person in my congregation to realize it was a change that basically meant the JW leaders didn't have a clue.

Does anyone remember letter from GB "end is imminent" around 2009?
by cha ching inmy sister remembers, hearing at her congregation, a strongly worded letter from "the society" that hinted that "we may not be getting any more letters from the society, as the end is coming soon.".
she thinks it was around 2009, or after.. anyone remember this?.
as a result of this letter:.

I remember it being read at the KM school because the attendees and their wives were in a stir about it and calling everyone about it. According to the attendees, there were no hints, it said we would not see another year in this system.

Why are all male JWs expected to reach out for a position anyway? That would be like all Catholics trying to be the Pope.
MS is something that you do as a young adult. There should be a way for mature men to go straight to Elder.
Congratulate him if its an accomplishment that makes him happy.

Why so much sickness!
by Julia Orwell ini never met such a physically and mentally ill group of people outside jws except for at the local hospital or old folks' home.
from chronic fatigue to fibromyalgia to depression to arthritis to kids lacking lustre to heart problems to cancer, bipolar to every co and his wife having food intolerances.... are jehovah's witnesses the most ailing group?
what is your observation?.

That's one of the things that made field service unbearable, the conversation was either all gossip or a competition of ailments. If there was nothing wrong with you, they would make something wrong with you and tell you how much the new world is needed. Don't dare change the subject, no other topic is worthy of discussion in field service unless its about the length of someone's skirt or the immodesty of someone's form fitting dress.
So many of them don't have a life. So the smallest sickness becomes a focus for them. It makes them more faithful than the next person to have any illness and still attend the meetings.

are the elders waking up too?
by nowwhat? inwe have an older very faithfull elder body and whenever they talk about armegeddon or the end of this system of thiings, they always use "very near, close, soon, etc".
well on the stage one elder when talking about the great tribuation this week , he said "possibly in our lifetime" !!!
that really caught my attention and even my wife's too!

The last time I went to convention, Mr. Splane of their Governing Body said that it may not happen in our lifetime, that it may not happen for thousands of years. But we should take pleasure in knowing that as faithful servants we are assured a resurrection.
A few looked puzzled but sat there nodding like drones.

The girl on the inside of the front cover at the top in the orange blouse with the parasol did not die. Blood was "forced" on her by the state. She's alive and well today and an active JW.

Quote from this week's WT study

good to know- but strangely no scriptural reference for this gem..
