Sensitive Child
by Bobbi inso... my condo complex is getting some badly needed new lighting.
finally, the tall new lights are installed and they are removing the much shorter older lights.
they left them laid on the ground for a few hours while they dug up the old bases.

He just turned 5 last week.
I don;t really mind his little quirks, they are what make him so special, just sometimes I am baffled.
He looked out the window a few minutes ago, and didn't make any comment now that the old lights are completely gone.
JD, you make me laugh.

He doesnt' handle change well. This summer Para was showing him some bugs and he was very upset we had to leave them behind.
He just seems to take things so personally.
This is the kid who have more stuffed animals and special blankets in his bed than I have ever seen.
I am starting to wonder if he have anxiety problems. He goes to school and never cries when I leave.
He spends time at my best friends house with out trouble. His teacher says he participates and plays
with other children.
Must just be him, I just get so taken off guard sometimes by how hard he takes things.

SO... my condo complex is getting some badly needed new lighting. Finally, the tall new lights are installed and they are removing the much shorter older lights. They left them laid on the ground for a few hours while they dug up the old bases.
I picked my kids up at school for lunch and when we got home the 7 year old and the 2 year old check out the holes and inspect the old lights then head inside. I am holding the door open, waiting for Child #2 and I realize he isn't coming.
He is standing over the old light crying his eyes out!!!
he says "But I like the little lights" "please dont' let them take the little lights!!!"
How on earth do I console a child who is crying of a hunk of glass and metal?
GOOD GRIEF!! if I was this sensitive when I was little no wonder my Mother got so worn out dealing with me.

PS: I gave him a hug and bribed him with food to get him in the house. -

Welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I faded for many years without making a conscious choice until this summer I made the choice to walk away.
My sons had their first Halloween this year and my 5 year old had his first birthday party. I have been
shopping for christmas already.
My parents shun me already , I can't wait for them to find out when I DA.
My In-laws are starting to circle the wagons and I sense a show down in the near future.
Welcome to the madhouse, you will laugh and cry, and heal.

After so much time and pain, some of the details may be lost or blurred. Inactive may not know herself what really happened.
She mentioned death of a family member and a previously "obedient" daughter going off the rails. Pile on harrassement and
hatred from her "spiritual" family, no wonder things seem odd at times.
You can only mistreat an animal so long before it leaves or bites you. She put up with the typical abuse (We have all felt
one degree or another) until she couldn't stand it anymore.
Her husband may be unwilling to face the facts of his life, loathe to leave the only security he knew. Sound familiar?
Inactive is here trying to make sense of her life. Let's help. She is alone in this fight. How many people came to this site
looking for help, towing family pressure, spouses who oppose or ill health caused by the society?
If we get tricked again at least it is our choice. I personally believe her.
She could have been lurking for sometime and picked up some of our lingo. I know it didn't take me long to start using it.
I have used the phrase "good little JW" myself recently and Para laughed about me saying stuff like that.
Don't make pull a Cranky Bobbi.
