Legally Funny...
by Mastodon indisorder in the courts...revisited... .
these are from a book called disorder in the american courts and are things people actually said in court.
taken down by court reporters who had the torment of staying calm while the exchanges were taking place.

I can see why he might have been angry, but to behave in such a manner. The children should have known better than to do what they did, that can't really be denied but he should have known better, considering that he is an adult.
According to laws in Britain once someone has been asked to move along they are required to do so, otherwise the person who has asked them to move along can request that the police move them along, if the person then refuses they can be arrested. I doubt it works the same in australia, but the children should have known better and shouldn't have kept bothering the guy.
However, the priest should have been more tolerant, and ignored the way in which the children were acting. There is no call for anyone to make racist comments or use such language. Even if they are provoked, it only encourages others to respond to you in the same way. -

Entire sites devoted to one thing :O!
by Littledreamfaery inwell this amused me, i'm not sure if it will others, but imagine this, an entire webpage devoted to brollies.
http://www.brolliesgalore.co.uk/index.html .
if that wasn't enough to make my sides split with laughing, i had perviously found a site devoted to .... shoelaces... yes shoelaces, brilliant i thought i can stock up on so many different shoelaces now, i've always needed more than a 100 different types of shoelace.

hello people, all of you :).
who am i, well i'm the middle child of my parents, who are ex jw's, so i'm not sure if that makes me one since they stopped attending jw occasions when i was 11, but having experienced being part of it, and having not enjoyed it i can say i class myself as an ex-jw.

Hello Greendawn. The problem is these were the sort of people who generally liked to pick on others, so they would pretend it was because I was a jw, even though I told them that I was no longer one. I think some people are just genuinely unkind and unpleasant, best to avoid them if at all possible :).

In a way it would be nice to know how the cat does it, but I have to agree the way this may be found out could be horrifying. The amount of horrific experiments carried out on animals is awful.
:) Cats noses are that little bit more sensitive than those of humans. I have been told that generally when old people start to get close to dying you can tell, because they seem to smell a little more of urine, this I've heard from someone who works with old people, so this could be something that the cat is noticing, not too nice I don't think!

Good Morning, as it is over here, beautiful and sunny :).
Thank you for the welcome, its very nice.
I remember my parents going round in the service, me as a small child stood on peoples doorsteps with my mum and dad, often when it was the middle of winter.
IP_Sec, I don't mind, if you feel you like that then by all means.
Rosalee, I suppose what works well for one family isn't guaranteed to work for another :).
quietlyleaving, :) I suppose thats just what happens sometimes.
Daystar, Waves back :).
PEC, Aww, using my imagination I come up with the idea that must have been pretty unpleasant, aww.
Free2think, hello :).
Nathan Natas, :) Big brothers? But it says your only 6 :P.
Quandry, hopefully a bright future. :)
ex-nj-jw, maybe thats where I made the mistake, because I was told by my parents I shouldn't take part in the singing of hymes at school and so on. Oh well.
changeling, Hello :).
Josie, Hello :).
Merry, Thanks, and hello :).
Cellist, hello :).
Lisa, thank you, hello :).
Pope, Hello :).
Roller, Hello :).
B_Deserter, Hello, I think at the time I felt I was one, I believed in part, but at the same time I sort of questioned it.
jgnat, Hello, children can be incredibly cruel. But then I think its their parents who influence that in someway. If only they were more accepting. Yes you are right, even if the experiences are unpleasant at the time they make you what you are :).
Pretty long greeting but I felt I wanted to greet everyone and respond to what was said :).

I guess the real reason I found the whole being part of the jw's traumatic and unpleasant was that I happened to get really badly bullied at school. The main reason I was bullied, I was a jw, I was not allowed birthdays and Christmas. Its astonishing how unpleasant children can be towards others if they see them as different.
I know I always felt I was the outsider, even after my parents left the jw's, because I was still bullied with regards to the whole jw thing, the children at school just didn't want to let it drop. I suppose that children just happen to like picking on those they see as weaker than themselves, as different to themselves.
Lucky for me really when I left school to attend college, I got away from being referred to as a jw, I got away from the fact I was associated with it, and actually made friends with people who didn't care about me being an ex-jw.
I know that what I experienced is not very much, but then I was only 11 when I left. I suppose that sort of sums up who I am and how I'm connected with jw's. So really thats me.
