This is all too surreal. What are you doing?..Where are you at..RIGHT NOW?
by BONEZZ inever have one of those really weird moments?
part melancholy...fleeting and just weird.
it's like certain uncontrollable elements come together to create an overwhelming sadness...or maybe it's just the caffeine.. so here i am sitting in a starbucks, in one of the comfy seats...been here since opening at 6am...when all of sudden i'm reading the post by uzzah, listening to the starbucks channel play georgia on my mind by ray charles...followed by i left my heart in san francisco...fighting back tears to no avail....and everything around me is hazy.

Tildy,
I know you are nervous about court and do not know what to expect on Tuesday (ó.ò). Tofu and HH are very controlling and DF and Omega encourage it and Tofu and HH do not want to let go and allow you to take the reigns of your own life (>_<). Their fondest wish is to be involved in every detail of your life especially college as I have witnessed. They think that if they take all of us out of the picture they can easily have their control back and mold you into what they want ?_?. Most teenagers who have controlling parents try to make their lives as busy as possible with positive activities like your government club. They think everyone at the Point is a bad influence on you and that it is all our fault you spoke up and told them how you really feel about them. They can't hurt you unless you let them. You have the right to your own choices, thoughts and opinions and there should be nothing wrong with telling "parents." Just be true to yourself and assert your independence as a blossoming adult! ..V,(^_^)

Requeim for a friend
by RollerDave ini counted on you, and every day you came through.
helping me start my day and face another set of challenges in this hard life of herding cats.
i fell back on you when it was tough and you never failed to pick me up.. you were usually the first thought on my mind when waking up, and the first thing i would do was laughingly push your buttons.. but it's been tough lately, i could sense there was something wrong.

"Do any of you have any real experience with this joker?"
My Dave is a real funny guy. He likes to entertain people and make them laugh. Always cheers me up!
"Are the wife and daughter just him in a wig and a falsetto?"
That's hilarious! I'm pretty sure my hair is attached...ouch, yep it sure is. There's no faking my voice but it's pretty funny when he imitates Rollerdaughter answering the phone saying "This is so totally Angie." in this silly teen voice of his.
"What about the truck? Are we sure it's not just cardboard cutout?"
Well I drove Rollerdaughter to work in the truck yesterday along with Catlady. I sure luv our apostatruck! Has a great soundsystem and I sure luv riding up high.
"Is he REALLY six foot four and built like Charles atlas?"
No, he's about 5'11 but I'm 6'4 hehehe...not built like Charles atlas tho.

What was your first car?
by nicolaou inmine was an old fiat 127, i bought it 1983 and it was at least fifteen years old then!
the seats were vinyl and there were no rear seatbelts so i could send my girlfriend and her sister flying with each bend in the road!
it wouldn't go above 55mph and was rattling like rollercoaster when it finally got there.. the rear window fell out and it finally croaked in puff of blue/black smoke.

I got my first car when I was 16 and it was a little red 1986 Chrysler Lebaron Convertible.
I've had the car for 9 years and we still have it covered up in our yard awaiting repair.
RollerDave, his daughter Angie and I had a lot of great times in that car!
Hopefully we'll get it running so we can enjoy it next summer:)

Yes! We had such a great time!!! I wish every day had been like the day we left:( It was a shame that we couldn't take the apostatruck but our happy little cargo hauler did the job. Probably saved us a bunch on gas anyway. Lots of great meals, beautiful scenery, fun games, shopping....definitely wanna stay in the dome again but we'll rent it for much longer. The kids had a lot of fun down by the shore searching for agates and rocks. The kitchen was awesome...loved cooking in it. Grilling steak, chicken and brats...charcoal is the best! Cozying up by the wood stove and watching good movies. I do not take pictures of toilets per se...they are pictures of the entire bathroom. It's just that the toilet always stands out. I like taking pictures of every room in the places we stay before the kids tornado around. Vacation is never long enough...back to work now ...

Hello everyone!
My name is Becky aka mrsroller.
I call myself that because the notorious Rollerdave is my hubby.
I met Dave when he was in his early thirties and it had only been a few years since he had left the JW's. His daughter Angie was still studying with a JW at the time because her mother and grandma still had an influence on her at the tender age of ten. Dave felt the JW was harmless and warned Angie that she wasn’t coming over just because she was her friend and wanted to spend time with her. Soon after that she stopped coming around.
Since I have never been in the org I didn't realize what an ordeal being a JW had been for Dave. I had been brought up in a Lutheran family and the only encounter I ever had with JW's was seeing a few briefly at our door and my mother telling them we weren't interested and then slamming the door as they walked off our property. My father had studied with the JW's when I was very young and my mother got upset with him and convinced him we should join a Lutheran Church. So I got baptized, went to private school all my life, went through confirmation, learned about the Trinity, and believed everything I was taught until I met Dave.
Dave really gave me a lot of think about. He used logic and reason to explain to me why he believed the Trinity is wrong and why he is still uncomfortable with certain holidays. What he said made perfect sense to me so I did more research and we came to a compromise about our beliefs. A lot of people seem to go along with the teachings of whatever religion they are a part of and really don’t question any of it. I know a lot of people who go to church just to socialize/feel they need to go to church because it’s the right thing to do or just to aid them in paying for the private school tuition.
Even though the JW’s treated Dave terrible and they are a corrupt organization, I think they had some things right that other religions don’t and they influenced Dave to research and define his beliefs. Most people might never do in their lifetime because they usually have everything laid out in front of them and don’t question any of it!
Dave really likes this site and feels that I will benefit from reading the posts to further understand what he has been through. I look forward to it! Maybe I’ll have a few stories to post myself J
