I was in one at a circuit assembly, can't remember what it was about but I used a TV that I borrowed from the circuit servant. He didn't really want me to use it but he finally agreed.
In the local KH I would assign all the parts for all the meetings. When I got the KM or Informant as it was called many years ago the programs were listed in it. I would assighn them as soon as I got it.
So many memories. I have forgoten most of it though.

the recent thread about "supernatural" experiences helped me to remember the times i enjoyed playing frightening pranks on people.. example #1: years ago the employees at a place i worked for had a 40th birthday party for one of the women we worked with.
it was a typical "somber and dark" humorous party with black balloons, black candles on the birthday cake... all meant to suggest that at 40 ife as you know it is just about over.
it's funny, but 25 years after my 40th birthday i'm yearning for those days when things were better.. ...but i digress.
I don't know. He never took his pants down to let me see if crap was there. LOL

My brother has parkinsons disease. he sees things like cats on the floor and other things that arn,t real. He realizes that it is his brain problem and just ignores them. His mind still works better than mine when it comes to remembering things when we were young. I've never seen any unreal things.
My wife has seen strange things happen, like doors opening and closing. A woman who was renting a house moved out because the furnature would move each night in the living room and she would have to move it back in the morning.
My friend who lived next door had a death expierence when being operated on. They revived him and he had seen things in the operating room that the doctor couldn't understand how he did. He also said he went somewhere and talked to people who told him religion was the worst thing humans had invented. He tried to stay there but they sent him back. He never understood how it could have been so real.

my wife's brother died and an old friend i have known for years died also.
they both were within a few years of my age.
kind of scares me.. there were several others my wife knew died last week too.. ken p..
I guess I will have to get used to all the deaths at my age. When you are young you don't see death comming at you so soon. At least it will get rid of all my problems in life, but all my fun things too. I get so confused about trying to understand how life got here and why death and sickness was made a part of it for all life forms.
Trying to understand a God that made a Devil and all the demons as described by religions and then likes sacrifices so he can forgive the bad sin he put on all mankind because of his first human creation eating a fruit. He had his good son suffer and be killed as a way to get it all fixed. Some are going to get a new earth or new heaven just for believing this stuff. I guess I won't get it because I just can't believe all this stuff without any evidence that it's true.

a wonderful uplifiting book i'm reading.
it is the story of jesus (yehoshuah in the book) told from a jewish perspective and situated in jewish family and village life as it was then.. at one point in the book jesus' mother wants to capture the moment and install it in eternity so she says to her companion, a young follower of jesus(yeshoshuah) who has come to visit her after his death and who wants to know about her son's life growing up.
so mary (miryam in the book) after resisting the young man for a long period finally gives in at a point in the book when something magical happens between them drawing them close together as mother and son and so she relates what she knows is a lie but as it is a lie that brings her son back to her, a lie that comforts her and a lie that the the young man embraces with love and enthusiasm, she continues her story - the story of jesus.
I'm more mystified about a God and his way of creating so many living things that all die after having sex to make more dieing things. Almost all creatures eat other creatures, even viruses, cancer, etc. I can't seem to make sense of it all, even though humans have the most advanced brain of all creatures on earth. I guess I could just have faith in something others believe in, but I would have to decided which religion has the right answers. I might have to handle snakes, roll on the floor and speak a strange language, drink wine and eat crakers, read a book that is impossible to understand most of it unless a spirit comes down and gives you the meaning.
I'm having a hard time dealing with life and especially death since most of my age friends and relatives are dying almost every week.

can a publisher "drop out" and still be in good standing?.
When I was 8 years old I was in the TMS when it first started up. My mom made up my talk and I read it from the stage standing on a box so I was tall enought to use the speakers stand. We were meeting in a room beside a store that a JW owned, it's just down at the end of the street where I live now.
When I was the TMS servant one of my bible studies who became a JW gave his first talk and began crying on the stage becuase he was so shy. He couldn't finish his assignment.

i cant give any more details than this because of my family members who are devout jws.
i cherish a larger picture in my heart without anybody knowing ittrue worship means love and compassion, (luke 10:25-37) not belonging to any organization or having a set of belief system!
I really can't be decided about religion. All religions about a God who says you will be killed, tormented etc if you don't follow his rules as explained by some book written by men who must explain what it says to his worshipers. How do you figure out who has it right? The scripture that says Christ came not to bring peace but a division between the family who doesn't agree on what he teaches. Matt 10:34,35.
So is religion peaceful or not.
