religion has run its course, it was used as a way to control growing populations and to give the human race a sense of direction almost like training wheels.
religion has gone on a path of no return... that includes the only true religion of jw's!!!

I don't see so much decline here in my part of NC. I've seen many places that go out of business turn into churches. I've seen old schools, stores in town, etc. become churches or just meeting places for the Mexicans to worship. Everywhere I go in the country roads there are churches everywhere.

My brother and wife were DFed for putting some decorations outside in the yard. His wife did it and he decided to keep his wife instead of the JWs so they DFed him too. They both had been JWs for 40 years or more.

Debates just give the opinions of different peoples look at life. I have just come to realize that I don't understand any of life's reasons for being here. God just doesn't seem to have the same emotions and feelings that humans experience each day. How do we get ourselves in line with his requirements for life? I look at nature and see so many things that don't seem to connect to a loving God.
JWs don't brother me anymore or any other religion. People just hook up to something that gives them some hope of a future.
All I see is death in the future, as everyone who was ever born has experienced sometime in their future.

Retired about 15 years ago. Didn't think ahead and used my credit cards whenever I needed something. Now in debt so bad I don't know how to get over the situation. I'm 78 years old and all my friends and relatives are dieing. Takes so much fun out of my life.
My brother is still alive with Parkinson desease. We still have some fun each week together.
My brain is going bad, can't remember names of things and places to well. Still enjoying living though.

do you believe it's based on things that happened, but a lot of it may just be stories and it's not perfect because men wrote it?
do you think it's just a good guide?
If you believe only in Christ how did you come to know he exist? Is there any history other than the bible that explains his existance. Do you just have a feeling that you know him? If it wasn't for religious men and churches how would you get saved as they call it? Where is there any evidence of Christ other than religious history?
