I liked going to the conventions because I visited so many cities I would have never seen when I was young. NYC, Florida, St. Louis, California. My parents wouldn't have had the money if they didn't save enoug to go because of the JW religion. I liked the teenage girles I met too.
I liked my JW family on my Dad's side, there was none on my mother's family that were JW's but they were nice relatives.

i think there is a good chance i'm going to be asked to be the watchtower conductor.
on the one hand, i'll find it quite difficult some weeks having to go along with what is written.
on the other hand, there'll be opportunities to ask controversial questions (within limits).
For about ten years, 50 years ago. All I can remember is on Sat. underlining the WT answers and the ones at the KH reading thier underlining after the question was read, then someone reading the WT. paragraph to the cong.

I was getting up to go to my brothers's wife's funeral and I got a phone call that my best friend since youth had died. It seems death is all the news I get lately. It's about to make me so depressed. I guess when you get my age, if you don't die yourself all you will experience is the death of others you love and know.

it seems someone in my family is dying every month lately.

I went over to see my brother this morning and his three children and their mates were there. They seem to be doing very well. They all gave me a hug when I came in. I loved it. We all talked about things in the past we did and laughed at some things. They left when I did with my brother to arrange the funeral etc. My brother has Parkensons disease and will need someone to stay with him. I don't know how things will work out.
He called later and asked me to be one of the pall barreres. Don't know how to spell it. I agreed to do it for him.

Nobody can explain the bible to me, it's too complicated and doesn't make any sense to me anyway. I guess I'm included in some group that God hates and will never get the holy spirit that makes some Christains lay on the floor and speak some wierd lanquage, or jump up and down and feel like God just saved them.
Of course if you want to be a JW you don't need a spirit you feel going inside you.
Religion is a snare and a racket according to some religious leaders. Who should I believe?
Should I just have faith in something I can't understand or prove and be happy? Should I just blow up a bunch of people and get a bunch of virgins?

the guy i know was saying this the other day.. "it's been suggested this may be the last one", or words to that effect.. where & by whom?.
