I'm one of those people who think things happen for a reason...so maybe you should see this as your opportunity to speak openly to the elders about your doubts..they most likely will try to convince you to study with one of them and "convince" yourself more of "the truth"...I don't believe being dishonest will help you any..It usually makes matters worse..and speak to your family first about it..Explain what's going on with you...I'm not saying you'll get the best response, but I think you are adult enough to face the consequences...eventually the things you do catch up with you...you really never know how things will turn out...there are so many scenarios that could happen...hang in there and try to be strong..don't back down just because of the elders..
and if it's not to indiscreet....how were you outed??

Ever have the shame of knockin on your schoolmates doors as a kid?
by xnmad inever wanted the floor to just swallow you up?then spent the rest of the wkend shittin it coz of whats gonna happen when you walk through the school doors on monday morning.think its affecting my parenting skills as an adult though coz am so aware of how my children feel about things, and the importance of never making them feel awkward or embarrassed.makes me wonder how much my parents thought of my feelings?i think they thought any bullying was a necessary form of torture, and would help me feel as christ did,i was probably sposed to enjoy it.

this was always my nightmare..whenever we worked territory that coincided with our school zone I would sweat bullets..I was 15, 16??? I mean I couldn't think of anything worse happening to me.. I would have preferred to be hit by a bus or something..Of course I had my back-up plan just in case it did happen..I think I would think of a non profit organization or something that we were collecting for...or Avon..anything but Jehovah's witness,,,And I made sure I worked with my other adolescent friends so that we would both be in on the "plan b"....sometimes we wouldn't even bother to ring the doorbell and be REAL quiet!!!!! Apparently these tactics worked because I never had a schoolmate open the door..Survival tactics for teenagers..yes that was me!!!!

i think you should tell the woman you study with that you have found this site on the internet and the new friends you've made here and then bear yourself, because all hell will break loose and you'll realize what you've gotten yourself into..an organization that will control your every move..who you talk to, who you associate with etc.....

o.k. what is wrong with these mothers???? has there been some new information that has come out saying that you should treat your dfed da'ed inactive witness family members like dirt?????? I count my blessings that my mom is pretty normal. i mean she's sad..but she's not mean.....i have to say that the organization has some responsibility but the bulk of it actually falls on the person....it's alot nicer to think otherwise, but i have to be honest...don't mean to offend....

How Jehovah's Witnesses Encourage Mental Illness
by metatron inwhile being a witness does not automatically make one mentally ill, it should be clear that huge.
numbers of witnesses are - and moreover, that the watchtower society encourages certain kinds.
of mental ills to maintain its control over publishers.

I don't know if people with mental disorders gravitate toward the witnesses..but as a person brought up in the organization I believe that it can cause mental disorders like depression..starting from the fact that you can never do enough..you are always sub standard..there are constant comparisons being done..to elders, pioneers, etc....and of course the best part is the guilt factor..I can't tell you how being inactive has relieved me of so much anxiety because of being able to throw away that burden of guilt..guilt for missing the meetings, guilt for sleeping in on sunday, guilt for not commenting, guilt for not preparing, guilt for not reading the daily text, GUILT, GUILT, GUILT!!!! I can see this same feeling in my active brothers and sisters..to the point that some don't feel worthy of being in the organization...It's ridiculous!!! So I say yes..being raised in the organization can make you nuts!!!!!!!!
