I guess the criteria in each family is different. I told my family I didn't believe the witnesses were God's organization and yet they still talk to me...no one has informed on me either..so it sounds like you have on your hands a real fanatical family member....

Finally got asked "THE Question"
by TweetieBird ini don't post too often here but have been coming here for a few years now.
i have been successfully fading for the past 10 years (so i thought) but went to visit jw family members last week and the matriarch of the family asked us if we still believed it was jehovah's organization.
after avoiding a direct answer and trying to skirt the issue for a while, finally the hubby said, "no, we don't believe it's jehovah's organization".

I hated the watchtower articles with bible prophecies. I think the ones about Ezequiel were the worst. And all the bookstudies about Daniel and Issiah I missed half the meetings because they were sooooooooo boring....

by WTWizard inhow many times did you hear people that wanted to look at construction sites at kingdumb or a$$embly hells?
i remember when i first started, the big deal was the a$$embly hell slab.

Which church?
by faundy ini don't feel comfortable living as an atheist.
i believe the world is far to complex and humans are too incredible to have just occurred.
therefore, if i was to attend a church, which one should i consider?

I personally would check out judaism....they seem to be tolerant as long as you follow the noahide? laws....And they are a pretty philisophical, thinking bunch.

Horrible Apostates fall into Jehovahs Trap
by Jim Dee inas you guys are probably aware, the new watchtower for studying has shed new light on the generations issue (ie whoops we got it wrong, we were right before) .
the co's here in aus have been briefed to inform the congregation (either formally or informally) that is is part of the cunning of jehovah .
when jesus parted the non beleiver disciples from the core 12 (or was it 13) he made an outrageous statement and watched the weak walk off - thats exactly what jehovahs organisation has done today .

I'm lost..what's the current take on the generation doctrine? I just know the last one. That it wasn't a literal generation, etc.
