he's feeling woozy and sore tonight, but hopefully that will pass in a day or so.

i did what i was asked.
all these weeks, i did all my mother asked when it came to dealing with the matters at hand for her.
i'm nothing, if not loyal.. so over the weekend, when mother called for us to please come and deal with my relatives coming to the house to pick up boxes of my grandmother's belongings.

To any JW's who are lurking here please think about this: Even murderers are allowed to have familial visits in prison. Most murderers are not even put away for life without chance of parole. It would be considered cruel and unusual punishment.
Very true, and so sad.

my husband and i amuse each other with recollections of the "spiritual" language, sometimes with tears of laughter.
we sometimes gasp at the thought we took all that stuff so seriously for nearly 40 and 33 years.
every meeting, we had to be there, listening to the demands for obedience, loyalty, and submission.
........That my panic attacks were caused by the unicorn pictures I had in my house :o

i was reading the post on "old radio" shows, and it brought to mind the old westerns that flooded the t.v.
stations back in the 50's.. i remember the first day we had a t.v.
installed, my sister and i were outside, and saw the "new" antenna on top of our roof, and ran in to watch the "new" black and white t.v., and enjoyed shows like milton berle, howdy doody, and others my memory forgot.

i just talked to joy and she said to tell everyone they are fine.
they lost electricity so can't get on computers.. tornadoes came through awhile ago and killed two people, but they are doing fine, and have 5 strong young fellows, with them, to help when things get too bad later tonight.
the water is now in their yard, on the yard side of the picket fence, for those who have been there.

after the death of her witness father, a dear friend of ours told us her mother, in deep depression, said "this wasn't supposed to happen.the new system should have come by now" .
depression is not unique to this heart broken sister.
a witness in our old hall was out in service one day with four pioneer sisters.
Rockhound,
That was a great post...I copied it and have been reading and re-reading it. This may not be exactly on topic, but my experience with grief and facing the truth was this: my mother died and I grieved her for 15 months (which I read somewhere is about the right amount of time) At. the end of this time everything came crashing down when I realized it (the truth) was all I lie re the UN scandal. I remember the absolute emptyness I felt when I realized there wasn't going to be any resurrection "real soon" and we weren't going to be together in Paradise in just a few years. So in essence, I started mourning my mother all over again, and the loss of my beliefs. And I hate them for it.
