one thing the watchtower society has managed to do is to create a pool of talented, articulate and witty speakers.
what happens to them when they leave the society?
some of them post here and on other forums.
In my former occupation, I did quite a lot of public speaking. Public speaking is among the very few advantages I have garnered for myself from my internment as a witness, that and quitting smoking. Apparently their training methods work pretty well as I have been a very successful speaker at events with hundreds of attendees. Some of the most notable speaking engagements include providing a 30 ? 90 minute discourse before the technical staff of the National Security Agency, the Attorney General and technical staff, several divisions of NASA, the Computer Security Institute?s annual convention, the Surveillance Expo (an annual cloak and dagger, spy /spook and PI convention), and the US Treasury Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF).
Needles to say none of my presentations included any witness related theology or buzzwords, although I must admit some were a bit apocalyptic considering the subject matter.
My advice to anyone wishing to attempt public speaking is to contact Toastmasters or some other public speaking training program. It may cost you a few bucks but it?s a bargain compared to the price you will be paying for years and years because of having anything to do with the witnesses. Been there, done that!

this is a very long story that i will try to condense.
it will still probably be too long.
life is good for us now that we know the real truth.

i thought you should know the good news.
Is it just me, or does anyone else get a bit nervous when these religious guys start hearing voices? Creepy!
i just saw this on witness world web site and had a few laughs.
how many of you were this pathetic when you were a witness?

OMG! Are these people adults or kids listening to ghost stories at camp? This is just too pitiful to comment on further.

Yeru,
I?ll bet the bulk of this story is most likely true, however it?s not exactly real news to people that understand military strategy, as obviously you do. In addition to plans on invading the Middle East, the US government likely has general plans on military campaigns against many of our current allies too. Why? Because the political and military conditions in the world can change in a heartbeat, and it is only prudent to be as best prepared as we can.

u.s. sen. bill nelson said monday the bush administration last year told him and other senators that iraq not only had weapons of mass destruction, but they had the means to deliver them to east coast cities.
nelson, d-tallahassee, said about 75 senators got that news during a classified briefing before last october's congressional vote authorizing the use of force to remove saddam hussein from power.
Guest,
I think maybe you need to do a little more checking on your facts as regards the US giving infected blankets to Indians.
I?m not an expert on world history but I?m pretty sure that the incident you are referring to is attributed to a British general by the name of Amherst sometime around the 17hunderds, which incidentally is well before the discovery of germs by Pasteur a hundred or so years later.

Nelson said the senators were told Iraq had both biological and chemical weapons, notably anthrax, and it could deliver them to cities along the Eastern seaboard via unmanned aerial vehicles, commonly known as drones.
Exactly what is your point? Did Saddam have drones modified to carry WMD such as anthrax? Yes that was known long ago, the Iraqis even made videotapes of drone practice runs and related experiments; this is not exactly breaking news, so what?s the point??
Could he hit East coast cities? I guess so but first you have to bring the drones here don?t you, and why just the east coast, I thought we had cities on the west coast too? Sounds a bit hokey if you ask me.

last night my older son, (now 20) decided to smoke a cigarette in front of active witnesses.
of course they will be obliged to report this at once to the elders, who will question him about it.
i knew something big was coming as i overheard him say to my wife the other day ?your not mad at me because of anything i did, you?re just mad at me because i?m an atheist?.
Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement. When he does get the boot and after things are settled down, I?m going to show him your postings so he can see for himself the contrast between the Borg and real genuine caring people like yourselves.
Happy holidays everyone

Wow, I choked on my coffee when I heard that!
I have to admit I?m a little behind on the latest JW dogma but I?m fairly certain smoking is still a big no-no. I?m guessing the brothers would tend to frown on atheism just a bit too. Ya think?
My son has recently seen for himself the JW brand of love up close and personal via his so-called best friend (long story for another time), and I think he has finally realized they are full of bullsh*t; something I?ve tried to convey to him for some time. I?m concerned about his mental state since he was raised in THE LIE, and a good number of his friends remain in bondage to the printing firm. I hope he is mentally prepared for the shunning.
Anyway I just wanted to share the news, I?ll keep you posted on any developments. Maybe one day he will be posting here as Freeman Jr.
