officials plan to evict a branch of the jehovah's witnesses from an 18th century estate in northern moscow, the prefect of moscow's northern district, oleg mitvol, said on wednesday.. mitvol claimed the mikhalkovo estate with nearly 100 hectares was illegally privatized by a moscow cotton factory and later sold to the jehovah's witnesses.
the estate is estimated to be worth $350 million.. "we have been receiving continual complaints from veterans that the historic building on mikhalkovskaya street currently houses a branch of the jehovah's witnesses," he added.. russia considers jehovah's witnesses a religious sect and its activities therefore illegal.

This is not entirely related but it was announced that CBS News has now closed their Moscow bureau.
While small in stature and staff, the Moscow news bureau held a special place of importance to CBS. While the shuttering of the Moscow bureau was economic in nature, and not over any religious or philosophical differences (CBS News and the former soviets shared a kindred world view and spirit), the closure was nonetheless painful for all.

Just for your information, foreclosure does not cancel your debt. You can be chased by the bank after the foreclosure, your wages being garnished etc. etc. They may or may not; but you did sign a loan contract, so they can. A better solution is to talk to your bank, explain the situation which should include I am unable to afford my payments and don’t want to go into foreclosure or bankruptcy . Would you be amiable to accepting the proceeds of a short sale and legally releasing me from this obligation?
A short sale is simply a price below what is owed on the house. If they go with that, then you walk away from the house a free man . Your credit may or may not take a hit, but that is at risk.
Oh one more thing, the IRS may tax the difference between what was owed on the house and what it was sold for in the short sale. They look at it as income to you since it is debt forgiveness gift from the bank.
What is in it for the bank? They are saved the significant expense of a foreclosure and the expense of the damage to the house that always seems to happen just before the sheriff puts your belongings on the street.
Realtors love short sales and will help you make it happen. They get a house cheap and generally have a pretty good shot at working with the bank. I would consult a lawyer and or realtor if you are serious.

this has happened several times before, and just happened, so i am curious if it is a common affliction among jws.. there is two of them that told me of what a really great meeting they had, the co came and gave a wonderful talk about the end of the system.. me: "oh really, what were some of the points he made about it?".

I never had it myself, but my wife suffers from it.
A while back I cashed in a 401k. I noted to my wife how much it had grown in a short time and how I now regretted that I did not start saving when my employer first offered it (with matching funds).
She said, “I guess we could not afford to have it taken out of your check back then” I replied NO, don’t you remember we decided not to save for retirement because THE SYSTEM WAS ENDING IN A FEW YEARS, don’t you remember??? The anointed were already way up in years and all these things must occur before yada yada yada??
She can’t remember any of that, she says I’m making it up. “Dubnesia” for sure.

On your wedding day you already have a lot going on. Sex before marriage could overly complicate an already busy day, that’s why many couples wisely hold off until sometime after the ceremony that day.

Limbaugh does what Limbaugh does. His salary is based on the fact that he is the best at what he does, based on the revenue he generates, he certainly deserves it 50 million.
I’m not saying that it is actually Limbaugh who is exploiting this tragedy for free publicity in order to maintain his $50M annual salary.
First it’s not exploitation; it’s a consequence of his high ratings, which folks like you make possible.
Second, you may find it deplorable that he is accusing the president of using a tragedy for political gain, but the fact is if the president can use it to his advantage, he will. What about this person would make me believe otherwise?
Obama didn’t engineer this tragedy, he didn’t wish for this tragedy to happen, however if you think the Whitehouse think-tank which includes the president himself isn’t considering all the political angles involved and how best to use them, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale that you may be interested in. That’s Chicago style hardball politics, it ain’t pretty, I find it loathsome myself, but its reality, politicians do/say/think politics 24/7.
Limbaugh calls them just like he sees them, and he makes a lot of money doing it with talent on loan from God, I call them as I see them too, and sometimes it gets me in trouble; and I doubt God is involved at all.
