  what was it like to live in the 1950's 1960's and early 70's as a jehovah witness.when they started to push the 1975 date..

  I was one of those people who went round knocking on doors telling this LIE
  made 10 people believe it ,some died believing it????Iwas df before they died
  so they wouldnt let me tell them I had been under mind control when i told them that
  Because the WT told them I was now the DEVIL....
  Yes they ( elders,Circuit Servants) DID teach it was to be ended by 1975.
  That is why we must not listen to others beliefs ..God gave us a brain to THINK
  & Listen but not copy any one else ........Only my thoughts
  I preached this lie in Montreal ,we had a very hard time as JW because Duplessis
  knew we were a CULT!!!!! had us arrested

  ive heard through different research ive done along with people ive talked too that there was a 1975 "scare" in which the time was supposed and the end was at hand

  Well of course. I obeyed my C.O quit my job as a buyers assistant from The BAY!!!
  Went around telling all in family ,friends ,& doors the time left was very near.
  ,I was going to be living on a Paradise earth,
  After we helped clean it up after the Birds ate the flesh
  I wasnt going to age,
  I would be young & lovely.....Know what????????
  I am OLD & Ugly.83 +yrs old wrinkled living on an earth that is in real hardship.
  That is what you get for listening to bunch of old men at Brooklyn Bethel
  who dont have kids & probably want to rule the world.

  i've been noticing for a while now how the watchtower sometimes seems to change the meanings of words in the english language in order to not label jw's as anything that has anything to do with the rest of the world.. for example, this week's number 2 part in the theocratic ministry school dealt with: are jehovah's witnesses a sect?.

  when i look to dictionaries for the definition of this word they all have similar meanings, albeit with different wording.

  a group of people forming a distinct unit within a larger group by virtue of certain refinements or distinctions of belief or practice.

  Welcome aboard FWT,,,My dictionary says" Cult >Devotion or Homage to person or thing.."That in my opinion

  makes JW's a CULT....& in my Humble opinion a very cruel one. Since if you dont accept the men at Bethel's

  teaching they tell all the rest of family & friends we are evil. & deprive us of the love of Daughter,granddaughter

  & all whom we love. I do hope they dont deprive you of YOUR loved ones when the Closet door REALLY opens

  God Be with you! & God in MY opinion is the Creator of the World.
  FATHER,SON(JESUS CHRIST) & HOLY SPIRIT!!!
  Even the JW"bible tells us that JESUS IS THE WAY! TRUTH! LIFE! NO ONE comes to the Father exxcept by HIM!!!!

  I went to have my feet done two days ago.The woman that did it told me she too is a witch
  I told her my belief was Christ, & I let any one believe as the wish. At that point she cut my

  corn SO LOW it bleed very much,I have to look after it daily so it doesnt become infected.

  I am not so sure I will let that Witch touch me again!!!!!

  Well I have just read this thread ( snowbird) Minimus Thank you so much for caring.
  Yes I am beginning to lose it...Cant remember folks names etc.Cant read all the posts.
  But I am going to confess I pray for ALL on the JWN line EVERYNIGHT!!!!Your my family.
  As you all know. I am waiting to kick the bucket.I watched the rescuers of the Miners
  all day yesterday,& feel jw's are like those miners excepts some have been in darkness
  longer than two months.
  I remember Abandoned who used to post on JWD sent me $100.00 I never met him
  I think I hurt his feelings by sending it back. Because I didnt need it. & Knew his kindness
  was from his heart. He doesnt post any more .So if I have hurt any others I am asking for
  your forgiveness.. Nice post Syl as usual
