Need a cleaner environment friendly car in Texas?

from the article it says that in order to get some of the heavier polluting cars off the roads in certain texas counties the state will be offering $3k-$3500 vouchers to retire your pre-1996 vehicle.
the vouchers are only good for newer cars that cost less than $25k and your income must be under $61k.

i'll probably tweak it a little more, but this one makes suggestions on what to (and not do) when they get all righteous and try to convert you back into their truth.. later on, i'll have more suggested responses that might be of help as well.. isaacj.

That was a good read, I enjoyed it. I really appreciated the part about making sure that your 'visitors' respect that they are on your turf. It reminded me of the visit by an elder's wife to Mrs. Eagle shortly after we moved back to Okra-cola. Mrs. Eagle was quite composed and pleasant with the visitor, but the the visit took place on the porch, not in our house. After the, "Hey how are you and welcome back." chit-chat the visitor started to play a guilt card over not returning to the cult. Mrs. Eagle promptly informed her that she was welcome to visit anytime and they could discuss any topic (they had been great friends and even pioneered together at one point) but she wasn't allowed to talk about religion or count time on her. The elders wife just turned and left without responding. For some strange reason she's never been back.

I have a bad feeling that the cars they 'retire' will end up for sale here in Oklahoma, sigh.

It is good to see another Okie around, are there any more that you know of? I'm thinking an Oklahoma Apostafest would be fun! I do love OU football but I follow pro-ball more. There seems to be a fascination in this state with the Dallas Cowboys or Kansas City Chiefs. Me? I'm a Bronco fan always have been. Try to stay cool- it doesn't look like any relief is in sight for a while yet.

Good 'Ol Oklahoma in August, gotta love it. I had to install a window unit air conditioner because the central A/C in this old house can't keep up with the temp. I just wish all that rain we had earlier in the year was spread out more over the months, it would really cool things off right about now.

The two recipes I found didn't mention limeade. They differed only on the booze, one said Cruzan citrus rum and the other Bacardi Limon. Hope this helps. When I checked Guy still didn't have any responses.
