Ozzie prolly a good call on your part. He seemed to argue for the sake of arguing.
Ah well it's about time to start the fire so I can smoke the turkey. Now I just need to find some really big rolling papers.
i grew up as a jehovah's witness.
my mother was uneducated and so we moved every 2-4 years as she tried to find stable enough work to support a child so ive attended many kingdom halls and have known many witnesses and many elders.
i've never gone back to the witness organization and never will.

Especially when the truth hurts.
"The truth" does indeed hurt. It hurts whenever a book publishing company decides it has the right to invade lives and take the place of people's need for God by using subterfuge, lies and threats. Since you were able to avoid this in your exit you should consider yourself blessed.
Though my point still remains, why dwell on it to such extremes instead of just moving on?
Everyone is in different stages of moving on, stick around and you'll see it. Every few weeks someone will make a post about how great this board has been in their personal 'healing' and they feel they can leave it behind. Some remain to educate others on many topics, and some develop friendships that only comes from understanding what it is to be an ex-witling.

I love it when someone who managed to make a successful break from the organization for 18 years comes into a discussion forum and dictates to others how to feel.
"I do find it enjoyable when someone on the internet attempts to play amateur behavioral therapist. Unfortunately you are incorrect. What causes the nausea is seeing grown adults act like sniveling children. I have always had a bad reaction to whining. "
And I've always had a bad reaction to arrogant people.
You're out of the organization and you did so on your own terms. What gives you the right to judge those that haven't been able to leave with their lives in as good as condition as yours?
After reading your posts I think you came on the board looking for a fight. When you didn't get one by making assinine comments on other threads you started a thread of your own to provoke one.
Oh yeah, Welcome newbie to JWD.
on another thread i posted be still my soul.
it is taken from sibelius finlandia.
it starts at 4:50. beethoven will probably always be at the top for me but this is great music.. sibelius finlandia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdzipg3beem&mode=related&search=.
Farkel said prior to edit: If you can play those and others, maybe we can dialogue. But first, show me what you've got. I can show you what I've god. If you cannot, they you are just a beady--eyed pedant who can't do, but who can be a critic. Anyone can be a critic. Try to figure out how to read between the lines on a Chopin Ballade, e.g. and you have lived in the trenches of music and might just have some insight.
Freudian slip?

amazing transformation of a man..
Blondie: I wonder what that operation cost?
Cost of Body Lift Surgery "While the cost of the lower and mid body lift procedure generally ranges from $6,000 to $8,000, a full body lift typically costs $10,000 to $17,000, but can go up to $50,000 depending on the extent of treatment. The only way to determine the exact cost of lower or upper body lift surgery is to contact a plastic surgeon in your area for a full consultation. DocShop can assist you by providing you with a list of doctors near you."

from my experience growing up in the jws there were two big recurring themes when it came to making money: .
1 - window washing or other janitorial work .
2 - cheezy "get rich quick" schemes and other cult-like sales practices .
WorldlyAndre: JW get rich quick schemes 20 years ago Amway, now it's PrimAmerica
I had no idea what Primemerica, or however you spell it, was. I 'made friends' with another guy who had a kid around my daughters age and we exchanged info. I was thinking that it meant play dates for our kids. 24 hours later I was getting love bombed by a recruiter who was given my info by that a$$hole dude I met.
I was just contemplating the chronology of mlm's and get rich schemes I've seen in my family. Lessee, AvaCare (an aloe vera product), jewelry, Tupperware, MaryKay, Herbalife, Prepaid legal, Shaklee's in there somewhere. The interesting part to me is that I remember not being allowed to sell school fundraiser stuff because my folks were ticked that the school was getting the kids to raise money. Irony agony.
