The title of the thread that YOU posted is a fair indication of your feelings when you started this thread. If you cannot condemn the assault of two senior citizens, you can condone anything.

In (Partial) Support of Danny Hazard ? Why dont you join him if you want in the next phase of his career? I am sure that are still vacancies for muggers of old people.

Get off the fence and make a decision that you will be proud of.

Leave Danny where ever you find him.

I dont expect an apology from him regarding his behaviour.

Wha happened,

The issue here is that:

1) two senior citizens were assaulted,

2) the assailant recorded the assault

and then

3) publicised the assault to the whole world (including non JWS) on the internet.

This would not be spoken about but for the THREE ACTIONS TAKEN BY DANNY.

It is a no brainer - I unconditionally condemn the actions taken by Danny against these senior citizens. I refuse to engage in equivocation or justification for his behaviour.

I havent seen the video, so I really cant give an opinion either way.

On this specific incident that could be true. I do not accept your 'opinion'. By adopting a neutral and passive position you give support to the wrongdoer and ignore the rights and feelings of the victim. The reason why evil prospers is because good people DO NOTHING.

If there were more Danny Hazards in the XJW world, this cult would have bit the dust by now.

How many more in your 'opinion' would be needed ? It does not take any physical or moral strength to attack old age pensioners or senior citizens. Ask any mugger if you really need a second 'opinion'. If you really believe 'in your opinion' that unprovoked attacks on old people / children are legitimate and progress any debate, then "Shame on you".

In my 'opinion' you are wrong.

I wouldnt be surprised one bit if Danny had hundreds of signs around his home warning JWS to keep away.

It may surprise you that he did not, but that is a different matter.

Quit grasping at straws, get off the fence before the splinters pierce your backside (not your conscience) and 'UNCONDITIONALLY' condemn the crime.

If you cannot condemn those that commit and record assaults on senior citizens (and then publicise their actions in a gloating manner on the internet), what right have you to comment on anything. If the assault had been made on a child would you still remain on the fence? If they suffered a permanent or life threatening injury, would that make a difference?

If you were a member of Jury would you have an opinion then or would you bury your head in the sand and let others take a position and form their own and your opinion.

Elvis would still be alive if those around him had told him the 'truth'. In this case the 'truth' was that he needed to go on diet :)

Any one who trys to justify this action will have no problem in justifying any action.

I condemn this act unreservedly and seek no explaination or justification for it. Shame on all those who believe otherwise, there is medication available.

a couple of jw friends came yo visit us today and we had dinner together.. at some stage in the conversation, i said that i do understand that an increasing number of jws from developing countries take emblems at memorials because, if we consider that europe and the us compose, together, about 700 million people, there is no good reason why nearly the whole lot of the little flock should be chosen from one tenth of humankind.

it is therefore all too normal that jws from third world counties think that they should have their fair share since jehovah id not partial.

the husband listened attentively and agreed but his wife probably found that we were engaging on a slippery ground and she shortened the visit.

ive wondered this from time to time, especially in trying to figure out how i finally broke free and in looking at the stories of others.

if you asked me a few years ago, i probably would have said either seeing too much hypocrisy or suffering the last straw of spiritual and/or emotional abuse.

but i know in my case and others, even that wasnt enough to break the mental shackles.

It is all about fear. That is the main social controller of human behaviour. Totalitarian States and religions have successfully used it throughout history as a control mechanism for fellow humans.

The meetings in this case are used to reinforce the fear and provide the warm comfort blanket of like minded persons or sheeple. Political rallies and classes are used for the same effect.

Anything that breaks the cycle of false comfort through association combined with the reinforcement of the dogma is important for independent living and thought. Those who seek to exercise control over others watch for clues that signal independent thought. That is why those whose infrequent attendence or less than whole hearted participation in political / religious education meetings / classes are viewed with suspicion or as being weak.

The all important and controlling emotion is fear. Once you lose the fear, or the fear of the fear, everything drops into it proper place. It does not matter whether you are learning to drive or speak a new language, once the fear has gone real progress can be made.

I guess that Homez has been "gobsmacked" by the reasoned debate he found here. On the other hand it could be the disciplinary proceedings initiated against him by his loving, open, non dictatorial and Christian Organisation.

I guess he has retreated to the warm comfort blanket of the ghetto.

Maybe he will be ready when the next ship arrives !
