  I am wondering if someone wrote Bethel asking about the NGO if Tower would respond using any of this info. Looks like someone has put a lot of effort into damage control. And the way they use the tower buzzwords.... well, the tower must be behind them in some way to allow this info to look so official and to be so pro tower.

  does brothel bethel respond to inquiries at all?

  yes. Believe it or not a JW first told me about this several years ago when it was in the works. The JW knows the inventor personally. I contacted the inventor to find out if any of the technology they have explored could be implemented to correct anosmia.

  What is the WT afraid of???????????????????

  ok, since it was so easy to get on here i'm assuming that this place is also over run by wts critics...but anyway!.

  i've read a plenty of wt mags and got sucked in enough by the whole thing to go to a few meetings and do a bible study( which i wouldn't really call a study, since we just read one of their books).i soon broke of the whole thing and didn't even read another mag for about 6 years...6 months ago i wandered into h20 out of curiosity and ended up reading up on the arguments against the wts.. i have a simple question, and its probably very naive to ask this...but why is wts so afraid of debate?...there are plenty of sites arguing against the wts...but none for, apart the official site which doesn't address the issues raised by so called "apostates" anyway.. if the wt has the the truth why dont they just refute the the arguments against them instead of shutting up shop and labelling anyone who questions them an "apostate?

  " or from satan or something.. i'm really beginning to think that all this wt business is just waste of time, that if i were to go to kh and ask questions that i have, i'm more likely to be labelled a trouble making agent of satan rather than be taken at face value as someone with serious questions.

  California fires - Katrina

  in our local paper today: 24.oct.07.

  more than 600,000 san diego county residents have been displaced as of 6:00am this morning, surpassing the number of katrina victims during the emergency in new orleans.. san diegos office of emergency services (oes), a cooperative effort of city, county, navy, marine and national guard organizations has been a model in the words of federal observers, as the orderly and well planned execution of setting up, staffing and directing emergency shelters throughout the county has been implemented and expanded as required.. citizen cooperation has been stellar.

  no panic or complaints have been witnessed during this disaster, just thankfulness for the outstanding job fire fighters and law enforcement has done during this disaster..

  hortensia, I just saw the abc broadcast (internet) with gov. arnold. He is NUTS. He says everyone there is HAPPY and there is no room for complainers! Says all is well. (meanwhile other reports show all the people in shelters exhausted and so sad) Reporter asks questions about why planes on the ground instead of putting out fires? He says we have 90 planes. They all fly but some down because of wind sheer. Then, and this is just unbelievable...reporter asks question that pisses him off, but he smiles and grabs her hand and gives her a hard arnold squeeze to shut her up and he smiles and spews jibberish! Talk about being manhandled. He squshes her hand till she ends the interview! you dont need link. just go to abc news to see this boy wonder chavinist.

  are the fires near you? I know the smoke can drift hundreds of miles.

  does anyone know what the typical "christendom" view of "this generation" is ?.

  i was just mulling over the "new" jw view that it refers to the anointed, but don't see how that fits, as at the time that jesus said this to the disciples, the anointing hadn't aken place - they were merely "anointed in waiting".. .

  Yes. The Christian interpretation of it goes back to the point of when Israel is once again established as a nation. That was in 1948. So it is the generation that began in 1948.

  The scripture refers to "when you see the fig tree put forth its leaves"... The fig has previously been used symbolically as representing Israel

  USE THIS OPPORTUNITY!

  Since you have still been given an assignment talk, why don't you use this opportunity to express from BIBLE scripture instead of Tower jargon that your sins and confessions are between you and your maker alone and that Jesus was sent as an intecessor. I am sure you can find lots of scripture to back that up. Use this opportunity to present some of the truths that the tower has neglected to tell people. Or maybe how in some religions confession is held secret and sacred (like catholic) but in other religions where one must confess to the brethern, they make rules which allow them to reserve the right to pass judgement according to their whims and make public announcement of a confession to shame people and hurt their reputation and self esteem.

  You can do more good to stay on and speak more freely, knowing that they no longer hold power over you or the truth. You will be truly helping others this time. Don't DA before you speak your mind. Salt of the earth? Put a little pepper in your talks.
