What has this religion become? THE WATCHTOWER madhouse
by Terry inc.t.russell began with a personal "purpose" which was to find a way to believe in/worship god while doing away with the beliefs he found to be personally uncomfortable such as hellfire.
he shopped around and cherry picked 2nd adventist views as a foundation.
to this he added pyramidology.

It is certainly worth a try. Let us know the outcome.
I think most letters to editor require your identity.
You can give your identity and ask the publisher to withhold it from print.

Your sister needs to get some backbone.
Maybe you better call and tell her...not only will bro. L orchestrate her wedding but he will be there to supervise the honeymoon.
Have that sex talk with her and tell her their rules.
Tell her she will be answering to them the rest of her life if she goes along with this bullying now.
Tell her she will not be allowed to discipline her children. She will have to turn them over to the judicial committee to be bullied and they will loose their self esteem. She will have no freedom to raise her children as she sees fit. They will probably even tell her its too close to Armageddon to have children. I've read stories on this board of people with regrets of never having kids because elders frowned on it 20-30-40-50-60 years ago.
Does your sister really know all she needs to know about this org to make a decision? I have a feeling nobody has told her about all this.
The marriage vows will be a sham. Her husband will never be allowed to be head of his household. She will have to listen to bro. L instead of her husband. Warn her there will be a lot of interference in their marriage : once she allows this, it will never stop.
Her husband will be turned into a jellyfish and she will have so many people to answer to for every thought in her head until she becomes a zombie.
Remind her she will have no free time in the future.
Hell, just make her realize she needs to get some backbone and put these people in their place.
Tell her to write "Miss Manners" and see what the ettiquete queen has to say about the arrangements.
CALL her and make her account for why she is not allowed to make her own decisions about her life!

Threefold Cord in Witness Marriages- It's Not Enough to Make Marriage Work
by flipper inhello folks.
thought this would be an important subject to discuss, got the idea for this based on reading from some posters the concern they have for the imbalanced views witnesses have of their marriages.
i have some experience in this, as i was married 19 years to a witness woman (staunch fanatical witness ) , whom i married at age 19 in 1979 as a witness myself.

successful marriage we needed to have Jehovah as a third party in this marriage
I think similar spiritual beliefs are important. But there is a big difference between having "Jehovah" in a marriage and having the entire BOE and GB in bed with you. BIG DIFFERENCE. Heck. That really crowds out even an extra long king size. It won't work!!!
I think communication is the most important thing. Even if your values and morals differ, with good communication, the other can understand your point and at least come to compromise. When you have those 2 factors, many other things will fall into place. It takes a partner who is willing to listen and consider your feelings. It also takes speaking up and not expecting the other to be a mind reader.
People grow and change...and sometimes they outgrow each other, especially if the partner does not have flexibility or can show interests in what the other person might like to pursue. There has to be a continual sharing of experiences and thoughts. Sometimes, what you needed in a partner at 20 is not what you need at 50. Unless a couple can grow together, there is bound to come a time when they go separately (emotionally)...even if they are still together.
Too many times, people expect their partner to fulfill them and make them happy. That is too much responsibility for one person to live up to. We each have to find or make our OWN happiness...not depend on someone else to supply it for us. That's quite a demand. Some people never even realize that that is an unrealistic demand.
Relationships work best when both partners can make acontribution to the growth and advancement of the unity. You can't do that if you are living in your partners shadow.
I don't think a marriage should be defined on religion. It can be an aspect of it, but certainly not the bonding factor.
I have heard it said that children are the glue in a marriage bond.
Well, I think that third cord ...if its the BOE and GB...is not a bond, but rather a bondage. That cord has a cement block tied to it.

so, does this mean oompa will still have to call his wife 'Sister' since she is still in the bOrg?
and will she call him "mister" instead of "Brother"?
Doesn't this give religion a sort of incestuous slant?
Doesn't it seem rather permissive to call everyone by sibling references?

from wikipedia:
A false memory is a memory of an event that did not happen or is a distortion of an event that did occur as determined by externally corroborated facts.
so, is REAL...really real?
wikipedia:
Memory is a complicated process, only partly understood, but research suggests that the qualities of a memory do not in and of themselves provide a reliable way to determine accuracy. For example, a vivid and detailed memory may be based upon inaccurate reconstruction of facts, or largely self-created impressions that appear to have actually occurred. Likewise, continuity of memory is no guarantee of truth, and disruption of memory is no guarantee of falsity. Finally, memory is a reconstructed phenomenon, and so it can often be strongly influenced by various biases, such as: subjective or social expectation, emotions, the implied beliefs of others, inappropriate interpretation, or desired outcome.
could this be why so many people adjust so well to the tower flip-flops without question?

I am wondering if someone wrote Bethel asking about the NGO if Tower would respond using any of this info. Looks like someone has put a lot of effort into damage control. And the way they use the tower buzzwords.... well, the tower must be behind them in some way to allow this info to look so official and to be so pro tower.
does
brothelbethel respond to inquiries at all?anyone know?

yes. Believe it or not a JW first told me about this several years ago when it was in the works. The JW knows the inventor personally. I contacted the inventor to find out if any of the technology they have explored could be implemented to correct anosmia.

How Internet Odors Will Work
Creating a Virtual Stink
Can you imagine a world with no smells? Think of some of the smells that you would never be able to enjoy, like homemade cookies, flowers or that scent that follows a summer rain. Smell adds so much to our experiences. Of course, without smell there is also no taste, since our sense of taste is almost completely dependent on our sense of smell. This world without smell exists on the Internet -- but that is about to change. You will soon have your choice of two computer peripheral devices that will make your nose as involved in your Web experience as your eyes and ears. Let's take a look at these devices.
iSmell Personal Scent SynthesizerIn Oakland, Calif., DigiScents, Inc. is developing a digital scent device, called the iSmell. They are fully aware of how people will respond to the device's tongue-in-cheek name. Mentioning the iSmell to a friend is likely to provoke instant laughter. The company hopes the device's name will grab consumers' attention and help to sell this gadget designed to transmit digitized smells through your computer.
A prototype of the iSmell Personal Scent Synthesizer is shaped like a shark's fin, and it will be connected to your PC through a serial or universal serial bus (USB) port. It can be plugged into any ordinary electrical outlet. Here's how it works:
