where are the scriptures to "prove" that this resurrection is an on-going continuation?
It seems to me that episodes of such great importance and significance are singular events unto themselves.

they're really going all out with this, costumes, face paint, etc.

This cataclysmic event is mentioned NOWHERE else in the bible. Are these the 144,000 holy ones that were spoken of in the Old Testament?
It seems to me they would be the 144,000. If Jesus left the earth because he had another job to do, certainly he would need his work force at that time.
Is there anything in the scriptures to substantiate that the resurrection of the 144,000 would be a gradual continuing event? I can't find any evidence of that.
But this one verse, shows a grand resurrection at what could be considered a "proper time", accompanied by a great earthquake (trumpet!!)
The verses preceding this occurance:
27:48 sponge with sour wine put on reed to offer Jesus drink
27:49 a man took a spear and pierced his side and blood and water came out
27:50 Jesus cried out and yielded up his spirit
27:51 sanctuary was rent in two, earthquake, rock masses split
27:52 dead resurrected
27:53 resurrected became visible to many people
(after Jesus was resurrected, those from memorial tomb entered the holy city)
OUT OF LUCK. The 144,000 were chosen long ago from those JEHOVAH himself favored. They are long gone. They have all entered the holy city. Heaven is not taking any more bids for sainthood!

Are JW's former Chiliasts?
by NYCkid inhey, i was reading karl marx today for one of my college classes and he mentions briefly the chiliasts and i quote, "in their minds [french revolutionists] may 2, 1852, had become a fixed idea, a dogma, like the day on which christ should reappear and the millennium begin, in the minds of the chiliasts.
" the footnote goes on to say about the chiliasts, "the adherents of an ancient christian sect, who believed in the second coming of christ and in the establishment of the millennium, a thousand years of pardise on earth.
obviously this mention of the millennium believing chiliasts struck my curiosity since that is exactly what jws believe especially when chiliasts believed that satan would be let loose at the end of the 1000 years for one final battle.

I know your focus seems to be on warning the unsuspecting and all the above ideas are excellent.
I wish something could have been publicized about the UN scandal so that the ones who are still inside and deluded would have a chance to know the truth about that. But that would probably need to be an article to itself.
Since the insiders are forewarned about movies not to watch, books not to read, people not to talk to....it seems the only way they might be reached is a media event beyond the control of Wbts....like the evening news or the newspaper.
The insiders will always be ready to defend whatever grievences you write about. But hopefully, the rest of the world will take note.
I certainly hope that your article will be picked up by API and run in major newspapers across the country.

The PSM (prodigal son messiah) in an attempt to deal with homosexual issues married a 17-year old sister in the congregation at age 20 on "All Saint's Day" (i.e. Haloween night, October 31st). Things didn't work out and disaster struck. He willfully had sex with another man in order to get disfellowshipped in hopes of trying to resolve his identity issues, so was disfellowshipped by year's end. The first time he entered a gay bar was on his 21st birthday, which he remembers because he got a free drink, so he was definitely disfellowshipped by this time. Thus gift and sacrifice had just stopped around this time. The prodigal son was now a "corpse"...
When you write garbage like this in between scriptural quotations, how can you ever expect anyone to take you seriously?

I do not appreciate this condescending statement, snakes. I did NOT post my thoughts or feelings. What I posted was documented, annotated FACTS from very credible sources that related to the subject matter on this thread.
I posted thinking it was an educational contribution. However, because some people found it controversial, I removed the information. It was never my intention to "hijack" your thread purps.
Any time people repeat something as gospel without asking questions or doing research, they will be falling into the same mind-set trap as they did with the wts. If you don't learn from your mistakes, you're bound to repeat them.
