The official WT position on marriage after death
by B_Deserter ini remember being really turned off to the idea that if you died before or during armageddon and had to be resurrected, then you couldn't get married and god would take away your sex drive.
is there an offical teaching on this?

According to jw's, I'm a 'walking corpse' and therefore have been given in marriage, where do I stand? oh crap, nevermind, I forgot, silly me. I get zapped out of existence and don't get a chance to play with the panda bears and live in a saltbox house with my perfect family endlessly gathering extra large fruits and vegys in my beautiful dress and perfect hair.
LMAO! Great one! The upside is this..who wants to spend forever with the same man????????JK of course, sort of.

i think dating an ex-witness is a great idea. no one else can understand what we've been through. that common ground goes a long way.
I agree BigD, but I also agree with Sassy again I would have to know beyond a shade of a doubt, they would NEVER go back.

Saw a hurricane outside my window, not pleasant, no power for over a week with two kids, yippey! But we were safe, that's all that matters. As for blizzards, I live in Canada, so yeah, been there, done that.

If someone is going to buy you a birthday or christmas gift.....
by bagpuss inwould you prefer them to ask what you would like or to surprise you, and if they did ask for ideas would you be offended?
the reason i ask is that my mother in law has just told my husband that we may as well go back to how we were when we were witnesses and stop buying them presents as we don't put any thought into it and ask them what they want.
he is really upset by this comment while i am just plain bloody angry!.

It's an 'aquired taste' . Most Americans I've seen try it usually spread it on their toast like it's peanut butter or jam. You use it sparingly, just lightly scrape it on, add some cheese and tomato and pop it under the grill. Delicious!
I tried it the traditional Aussie way, on toast, scraped so thin, I guess it is an acquired taste.
