  Is the evil we experience in our lives just "collateral damage" in the issue of universal sovereignty?

  it's not as if i have questions that need resolving.

  i know things would likely have been better if jehovah had been listened to.

  i am also ready and willing to do what he wants me to do, however exactly what that is isn't so clear.. if we're just pawns and the world is just a chess game between jehovah and satan, then i'm not sure i can wrap my mind around the length of the match and the things that have happened during this time period.. surely we wouldn't consider it morally upright to use humans in this way to prove a point to satan and the angels?.

  i would like to speak with a jw or anyone here who believes in god, and i would like in fact i dare you to find a reason why humans shouldnt use cannabis.

  <--(marijuana) actually i will give you one and it is the only one that i have found.

  the only reason i found is because in most places it is illegal and god says to respect there laws but anything besides this i believe is bs so again i dare u to give me a reason besides what i stated..

  i'm a long time lurking of this site(2 years) and a first time poster.

  to provide a little background of myself i was not raised as a witness but started studying when i was 19 and got baptized at age 21. a few months after i was baptized i left due to the constant worship of the faithful and discreet slave and the lack of emphasis on christ.

  for reasons i'm not sure about yet i decided to attend the district convention last week.

  i understand you 100%!! bluegrass.......esp after a DC....I get the poontang angle!!.......geeze there really are a TON of hot chicks at these things...what man WOULDNT consider going back in a moment of weakness......so DO it...but cruise a few halls first and get the dirt on the hot "bad association" chicks....even better if they have been dfd or reproved!....jw sluts rock yet there not really "bad" by most standards!......and there is a much better chance they will walk away with you into the sunset as you leave the hall for good...in fact get it set up so the wedding at the hall is the last time you are ever in one..........lmao..............oompa

  i have read over and over that the false prophecies of the wts are really not false prophecies.

  they where just folks who were over eager and were keeping oil in their lamps and so forth.

  it occured to me today to wonder "eager for what?

  the truth is many of those dubs are sick, depressed, old, poor, and hurting........PARADISE sounds pretty good for sure!.....they want it so bad they can easily block out the killing......plus, most think it is only the "incorrigibly wicked" (as a recent WT put it) that will be destroyed....i read that and as an inactive told some jw friends i was soooo glad for the new lite!......cause i may miss all the meetings for two years....but sure as hell aint "incorrigibly wicked"......so they tell me it is NOT NEW LITE........so i say it always bothered me if at the door someone said "y'all believe that only y'all will survive THE END".....and i always squirmed my way out of it......well damm one of lifetime friends says "we never taught that ONLY jws will survive ARM"....i was stunned!...he is a servant and a born in....i told him i could not believe we had been in the same hall for so many years and to look it up.....he said he did not have time....within 30 minutes and my wtcd i handed him a dozen quotes that CLEARLY showed the official WT position....

  dubs want to say the "wicked will be destroyed"....but fail to see that according to watchtower.....everyone NOT a JW will be considered WICKED at the day of judgement.........lmao.......soooo many nice loving people in da world....way sinless than me and most dubs prob.......oompa

  I was 7 years old and at a family reunion...distant cousin non-jws were playing a game i joined it.....my parents came onto the porch and nearly screamed and snatched me up.....rightthen about a dozen pigs stampeded off the edge of the porch.......oompa

  that must have been the beginning of the end for me as i started leading a double life from 3rd grade on........

  they never say "bracketed 'other' here" when reading bible either......

  so that word is added a few times in colossians and there many other [bracket] words in the nwt as if that makes it okeydokie...yet when these scriptures are read from any platform or stage, the reader never mentions it...so if some poor worldly person at a convention is just listening and not reading a bible...he has just heard a spurious verse....the same is true on all the wt bible readings on tape or cd....imo if you read it spurious...then it is spurious.......just a thought as no good dub would ever admit jws would ever utter such a thing...................................oompa.

  DITTO Sacramento and Earnest...either leave it alone......or acknowlege the [...] when reading.....and for gods sake at least make a footnote with the alternate!!!......to state it as fact is very deceptive and if all brackets have been removed as undisfellowshipped said....it is an abomination..(rev.22:18,19).......has anyone confirmed they have all been removed?...or just some....and is it all nwt's?.....thanks oompa

  I can't take this pain anymore...my life at dead end

  my life has reached to a dead end...i'm stuck and there is no way out.

  i was inactive for 6 years and i'm disfellowshiped for the past 3. i would never think that my life would have been in this terrible mess.. .

  i wasn't planned to be disfellowshiped by my "wife" turned me in to the elders for apostasy 2 times!!!

  You have done that before, and i hope it is better this time, and it was obvious from your post that your inner self was screaming to be free. Your kids WILL get through this, but i am worried about how much influence your wife will have indoctrinating them as dubs. your last comment that your wife is only living with you for the kids is a great way for you to move on with peace of mind. you would waste some of the best years of your life...the forties...with this horrid controlling woman (you should be able to read whatever you want at home friend)....by leaving you will do the things you mentioned which are great...but you do not have to always be alone...if you like companionship, you will soon be in a good position to find someone deserving of you.......take care.........oomps

  btw....i think you are on the track to reverse your subject....you are about to at least ease the pain and remove much of it....and your life is just beginning
