  JW Defenders- Is WTS Right to Insist You Stay Away From these Websites?

  i read these threads and there are a few that bend over backwards to say why wts is correct on this issue or that issue.. they act like typical jw's that refuse to acknowledge points that may show that wts is not following the scriptures or that wts goes beyond the scriptures in a way that is not supported by others.. the point could be the blood issue or shunning or whether 1799 or 1914 was the start (or finish?

  ) of the last days or whether there is a faithful and discreet slave class or not.

  i don't want to harp on each point.

  i wonder if my dad is one of the few elders who feel that it is odd that WT urges to never look at apostate literature. He feels his faith is strong enough that there should be no problem checking out anything else......yet......i bet he never has nor will. It seems like more would wonder "if this is really the truth, what is there to be afraid of?"................oompa

  If there was no global flood - does this mean that the Bible is not inspired?

  do you agree that if there was no global flood, then the bible is not inspired?

  here are my thoughts.. it is pretty obvious that there was no global flood 4,000 years ago.

  ) that there were one or more large local floods in mesopotamia around the time of noah.

  ya today they told me they dreamed about a judicial committee that dfd them.........a very long dream......and that later a letter was read that retracted the df..........like that happens often.........but anywoo........ i bet/hope i will dream i am in paradise with 17 concubines tonight.......it could be messy...........oompa.

  i was just thinking.....did she "dress provocatively"......was she "flirting"........did she "put herself in a situation"?????.............it just makes me sick, but it also makes me sick to think of jw "sisters" who were raped and told they were guilty of the same thing.....yes she was 8 and and will likely be marred for life and was not "guilty" of these stupid quotes above........but i also feel for the jw women who this happend to........oompa

  i hate that king thing.....but damm i did love that guy singing from hootie and the blowfish commercial with the hot chick in the swing!!!!!......that one just cracked me up........but damm i hate their food......i tried an ANGUS burger there a few years ago.....they came out with them right after Hardees and Carl Jrs. started them.....i actually only ate two bites and threw it away.........Hardees one totally rocks and is just about like home grilled..........mcdees is lacking too btw......i will not buy another one...........oompa/burger lover

  Anyone Trying To Lose Weight???

  i no it's off topic, but oh well... anyways, just went to the gym, it was ok... everyone tells me i look great for just having a baby, however, i've already lost the baby weight... i need to lose the marriage weight... ackk, it's gonna take forever...

  anyone in the same boat??

  i am kinda trying......i want to lose 10 pounds of front belly......i am just trying to visibly reduce portions....no fill a plate....see a normal steak or big chicken breast and say "i dont need all that".....also i was raised with clean your plate syndrome........now as soon as i start to get even a tiny bit satisfied i will not finish the entire plate.......drinking lots of water before and during the meal and eating very slow (which i always have done) may help too.......i saw a french lady on GMA or such and she said the french diet is just smaller portions and that three tiny bits of a sweet desert can easily satisfy you, rather than eat a big piece......i am also starting to ride my bike again.......oh and i usually eat a lot more salads in the summer anyway...........oompa
