my dad never once looked at me...i went even though they did not come to the door when i went to tell her i was sorry about her sister...that i had heard through the grapvine her sister had died...they did not even ccall me...and they did not answer the phone when i left the message asking for the time and place of the funeral unless they did not want us to attend...and they did not call....but we all decided to go anyway and im glad we did....but it was surreal...i will share more later.
and i have a close friend nearby dfd about four years ago whose dad is dying and wont hardly ever talk to her... he does a bit but not her mom....neither does robert7s mom talk at all to him and yes it causes pain...but i think i am finally close to healing that last part of mine......oompa.

so i just spent two hours making a reply...it got so long because of a letter i wrote my dad...i divded them into two posts...then with an accidental key stroke i lost them both....then i wrote another few paragraphs here like this one to explain....and ditto it happened AGAIN!....but it was all good therapy!!! losing them was probably holy spirit....

Tthe whole thing was healing....WE AND THE FEW NON JW FAMILY THERE WERE THE NORMAL ONES!!!! laughing and getting caught up for the first time in over ten years...nothing moved me emotionally downward....except that the few people that showed up were mostly fossils...
and omg they picked some new song to sing that was a faint drooling mumble by the old faithful...it was torture as were the few words i accidently the antique speaker i accidently heard as i was taking care of biz email and surfing on my new razor max droid....sooooo funny when they try and say nice things about a pathetic slacker nobody had seen in years....i felt sorry for him as he stammered and tried to find some type of humorous anecdote to tell about her...."i remember how appreciative whe was when we rolled her fat self to the car when she could make the meetings once a year or so...and how she would always fall asleep during the entire meeting and fart incessantly...and nobody would wake her up!....chuckle/snort"

thanks also to a number of posters for their reminders.
i can't summarize the whole site in a topic, but it did include a history of the interpretation of the phrase "this generation", appearing in matthew 24:34.. "truly i say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur.".

i feel your pain donny...my goodbye with my folks happened a year ago...so i get it...keep hoping to find a way for them to at least accept you as before to some extent...i have some ideas if you want to contact me ............oompa
so i was looking back at my (rather short) life thusfar.
usually people will talk about their glory days.
usually it is high school or college.
freeze i have felt like on way too many occasions...sometimes severely and have been on a bunch of meds before...but only one now and i dont think i need it anymore....the doc that got me off all my meds knows all about my jw shunning thingy and loss of all lifetime friends...and he said "hell who wouldn't want to drink? who wouldnt be depressed?"....it felt good to me normal....i strongly reccomend finding an interest that flips your switch and additonally a woman who does so...you need sex and bad....and make her and others feel incredible about themselves and are enthusiasting in general....wow you suddenly are giving off this great karma i swear...define it how you choose
and since you never had goals...and wow do i get that and it pisses me off some but i am coping better with that...whew...we were spoon fed the goals of our parents and others...and it was: THAT JEHOVAH NOT DESTROY ME AT ARMAGEDDON....and that meant you had to do everything they said or you would get the belt...pretty effective too....ya...i do have PTSD but some positive influences in my life has really helped a lot....tough it out and force yourself to excerise every day and view it like medicine if you must....hit me up anytime...............oompa
i had two new positions open up out of the blue recently and as luck would have it...for some reason i know a helluva lotta ex-jws lol!
especially with two young and popular dfd sons who also hang with a lot of ex dubs...but that maybe is another thread....we are drawn to those with similarities very often and being an exjw is a pretty small club....and we left a true brotherhood to many and a network for sure to everyone else.
so at work none of the non jws care for the jws and some have asked them to stop giving them paper crap and leave them alone...when one of them acted pissed that i had told some of the guys he would not ride with me to a jobsite lmao....of course they thought a new level of insanity had overtaken one of my normally great employees...so i told her "why would i not mention that to the shop guy/friends...im not ashamed of anything???".
i actually do want a new accountant...i have already had a consultation with one...you have a pm finally awake
