  Congregation Get-Togethers: In or Out?

  i was reading redpill2006's post and i noticed that some mentioned that get-togethers or parties have been largely discouraged.

  i stopped attending meetings in 2003/2004 and i remember my congregation still had get-togethers, although they were few and far between.

  they were not completely discouraged though, has this changed?

  The end of the gentile times....

  i have been having a serious dicussion on another site with a jw.

  so far i think i have got my point across regarding 1914 and how the date wasn't actually predicted.

  whereas he has come back and said that they did in fact predict "the end of the gentile times".. to a point he is right, russell and his associates did say this.

  Just to let you know....I've been watching that other board and have been waiting for someone with more knowledge than myself to respond. Unfortunately my 'bible chronology' is 'just slightly' (or extremely however you want to put it) under developed! :p Just so you know that your efforts are not wasted.   i'm not sure if this has ever been posted, but here's the uh "workbook" that all jws are given regarding blood fractions.

  of course, the hypocrisy shines through as when it asks "are fractions also covered by the command to abstain from blood?

  we cannot say" and "your decisions should be your own and should not be based on someone else's conscience.

  Mine is my youngest girl, when she was less than two. She is now almost four!! I 'played' with her picture...that's what I got.
  
  I use it because she always reminds me to be myself, for she loves me just the way I am. She is also the spitting image of me at that age and her innocence is absolutely priceless.
