Can men discuss feminism critically?
by Paralipomenon ini am currently studying some of the issues of the feminist movement.
one of my first observations is that men are really not welcome in the discussion.
all the reference books and topics i have looked at so far are written by women.

Your post doesn't make a lot of sense, because most feminists do acknowledge differences. You all are using too broad of a brush to paint your picture. It's rather like describing Christians using the KKK.
of course it makes sense, its just the feminist in you being finicky :)
at the end of the day feminism says that women can do everything and think in the same way men do. its just that our poor brains have been conditioned by patriarchy.

Children are a Gift from God
by inbyathread ina preacher and his wife wanted to have a child but didn't think they could afford on his small allowance from the church.
he spoke to the congregation and they agreed that he could get a raise if he and his wife have children.. six children later the congregation come to the preacher and tell him that they cannot afford to continue supporting him as his family is getting way too large.
he says "but children are a gift from god!".

of course! men can and SHOULD be critical of the feminist movement. im female, but im not so keen on feminism. im all for equality, but we must acknowledge that we are different creatures. in trying to be like men we have somehow lost who we are. that is in part feminism's doing. so be critical I say!

How Honest Are You Really???
by minimus inhere's the scenario: you buy an item and it's on sale for 10% off the original price.
a new cashier charges you, instead of 10% off, 10 cents!
this happened to a woman who bought a leather coat among other things and when she reviewed her slip she knew absolutely that the new cashier messed up.

im so honest its annoying! when it comes to money and paying for shit Im just so switched on that if its not right (even when its in my favour) i involuntarily point it out....seriously, i dont think Id have a problem walking away if i consciously knew i was being undercharged....but its just force of habit. doesn't matter too much i spose...its only creating good karma.
