  I for one have never nor will i ever say I was raised in a cult. for me personally thats not what it was...but for others, you freely use that term.

  so heres the official poll...cast your votes people :)

  p.s lets not turn this thread into a definition contest as we arent all going to agree....im just curious on who is comfortable using that term..cheers :)

  aside from the jw bullshit of course.. so, i'm at work and taking phone calls as is my job.

  a customer called up looking for pricing and information about some material and whether or not home despot sells equal quality product.

  being the honest (for a salesman at least :p) person that i am, i answered her questions to the best of my ability.. after this was done, she asked me what my name was.

  it think the points are important so worth being considered.. im not a jehovah, but i do have a very good friend who is ... we were both wondering what happens to jehovahs in australia if they do not vote, since in america they do not have to vote.

  Body Modification...

  i love to login to myspace and see if i can find some ex-jws, or active jws from (my) cong., or ones that i knew from other congs.. i came across a profile of someone i knew, who was in the same congregation.

  her name isn't particularly common, and there is a resemblance, so i think it's most likely the girl who i went to kh with.. she says she's "atheist", and has a tattoos on her face, piercings, and her profile is decorated with naked women.

  my 2 cents -

  i doubt if there is any specific correlation to body modification...but id also say that generally, people who are raised in a controlling and repressive environment will be more inclined to 'rebel', manifesting itself in many ways.
