  Nothing so logical, I'm afraid. Clash is a Van Tillian Presupositionalist. He believes the bible is true because it says so in the bible. He not only believes without evidence but explicitly rejects reason and evidence. He's immune to rational argument because he doesn't believe in it.

  there have been a number who have formed various theories as to what my true intent is.

  however such ones always seem to fail to see the contradictions in their own theories.

  If you are honest and you give honest thoughful answers, how can you be discredited? Even if someone asks you a "trick question" you should be able to give a fair answer. (e.g. Have you stopped beating your wife? Answer: I never beat my wife.) If you're not lying, you can't be caught out.

  Proof of the "historical" Jesus...

  been wondering about this lately.... what proof (outside the bible, of course) do we have for the "historical jesus"?.

  in my earlier days (post jw to "born again christian") i remember reading that the one thing that differentiates christianity vs. "all the others" was that we had secular historical proof that there was a man that was called jesus, who died on a cross and was resurrected.

  now i am wondering just what that proof is/was?

  By your own admission, you state that a cult does not begin without a founder. Yet that is what skeptics ask us to believe about Christianity. Don't they deny a "historical" Jesus? The rightness or wrongness of your followers behavior wouldn't negate the fact that you began the cult.

  So who founded Mormonism? The angel Moroni or Joseph Smith?

  i was watching tv last night and this man was nearly arrested.

  he has been a christian for over 30 years.. he was on an airplane here in the united states, with his wife and another friend.

  todays newspapers are full of the le pen story.

  much concern is being voiced that right-wing organisations will ride on this story to make their own agendas more widely known, ie, send all the immigrants back home, britain for the british, sod off everyone else!.

  Nobody in this thread has said or implied any such thing. As you're talking about "empirical data" can you supply some quotes to substantiate your claim?

  You may also have noticed how people used phrases like "some black people", "West Indian immigrants", "Bangladeshi Muslims", specific terms for small groups. You, on the other hand, have amalgamated a diverse group of billions of people into a mythical enemy "the white man", a single ruthless oppressor who exists only in your racist imagination.

  what is up with the site lately?

  first i get a basic blue site that is unoike what i have encountered before and now ai am getting a complete site but it is so small that i cannot read what the links are, and mouse-overs do not work.
