I have researched and I have formulated the opinion based on my research and logic, and I have come to the conclusion that the Church of Satan is indeed evil. Anyone who thinks otherwise is insane like the founder.
Instead of making blanket statements and defaming a dead man's good name, perhaps you'd like to tell us why you think the Church of Satan is evil. Is it the rejection of the supernatural, or the emphasis on individual responsibility you object to, or someting else?
I agree to a large extent with all nine of the statements, although some may need to be qualified. Number eight, especially, needs to be qualified by a prohibition on violating the rights of others. I'm fairly sure Satanism does this.

It is a tragedy to see the pain of the lost souls on this board. Everything that we have been warned of by the Society about leaving Jehovah, comes out and smacks you in the face on this board.
What are you talking about? What pain? Most people here are happy and successful, much more so than the average JW. Since leaving the religion many here have gone back to college, got good jobs, started loving relationships and had families. The pain people here suffer is usually due to the abusive treatment they received - and continue to receive - at the hands of JWs. Personally, leaving that religion was the best thing I ever did. You'll find very few here who feel differently.

in another thread i posted the following thought, but i wanted to post this for everyone to see and give their input.. the argument that 'truth' never changes holds no water.
according to random house webster's dictionary, 'truth' is defined as follows,"conformity with fact or reality".. the word 'conform' is defined as,"to bring into agreement".. if 'truth' never changes, then how can something taught in science that is considered to be 'exact', later be corrected by 'conforming with fact or reality so as to bring into agreement'?

That couldn't happen. I presume you mean Newton's Laws of Gravitation. They are "laws" because they have been used consistently and repeatedly to make accurate predictions about the universe, no other reason. The idea that tomorrow they will stop doing so is absurd.
However, it was known for a long time that under certain circumstances (most notably, predictiong the orbit of Mercury) Newton's theories gave slightly inaccurate results. That's where relativity comes in. Einstein's theories predict reality more accurately than Newton's. Newton's theories are not "wrong" and are still taught in schools and colleges and still used by scientists, but they are incomplet and there are certain conditions under which they do not give the correct results.
Wholewheat, you seem to be confusing the idea of truth as divine revelation and the "functional truth" of science and you show a shocking ignorance of the realities of science. Theories aren't just picked up and then randomly discarded, replaced by a diametrically opposed theory. Your religion, however, does exactly that, and still claims divine revelation. The light of science is getting brighter and brighter. The light of your religion is switching on and off like a strobe light, and pointing in the wrong direction.

Perhaps if you didn't expect everything to be exactly as it is in the US, you wouldn't have a problem. But you were in a western-themed hotel in Disneyland. Why the hell did you even bother coming to Europe? America does much better American-style theme parks than we ever will. I realise there's very little else in Europe of any cultural interest, but you could have just gone to Florida and knocked yourself out with big buckets of ice and air-conditioning and staff who speak your language.
There wasn't a single place we visited in France that had air conditioning or ice cubes, must be reserved for the rich and famous.
The French are used to their climate. They don't have the same mentality as Americans who have to live in a temperature-controlled environment. Acclimatising to different weather conditions is not that difficult if you give it a chance. Ice is available on request
And if you didn't attempt to speak to them in French, they treated you very rudely.
Unlike the USA, where all workers dealing with the public are trained in a variety of languages? Possibly - and this may stretch your tiny mind so try to keep up - they weren't being rude so much as not fluent in your language. Or maybe, through some cultural oddity, they thought you were being rude by not even attempting to speak their language when you were a guest in their country.
