i started a new job last january with a fairly young company.
within just a few weeks, i realized this was a pretty good company to work for.
they pay well, bennies are good, senior management is pretty decent, future looks secure, etc.
There's an MLM doing the rounds in Ireland at the moment. It's sheer genius. There's no product, participants simply pay £3,000 and in theory, get back £27,000 after a few weeks. The other brilliant innovation is that it's only open to women, although I'd put money on it having been invented by a man!

after much deliberation, i decided to go "out" at the end of a public talk.
it didn't go down too well, but at least i was able to give some of my reasons for leaving.. i've put some of the details on my homepage.
i'll update it more when i get the time and the strength.

Why? Elders with beards are allowed to give talks, but only in their own congregation. That's the rule in Ireland anyway. I'm pretty sure it's the same in England. I knew several elders who had beards.

When SexyTeen first posted here, I had her figured as a fake straight away, (the usename, the style of writing, the "innocent questions" that usually contained a sideswipe at people here) but I didn't say anything because I could easily have been wrong. (I've been wrong before! ) When "she" was exposed as YoYoMama, I wasn't too surprised. He was the type of poster who would stoop to such underhanded tactics. YoYo's audacity in inventing an almost plausible scenario once caught did surprise me, but didn't fool me. He's still taking sideswipes at people and lying and trying to cause trouble here. I think "SexyTeen" is a sad, emotionally disturbed middle-aged man pretending to be a teenage girl, which is funny in a pitiful sort of way.

No, travelling at the speed of light and looking at a stationary object is the same as being stationary and looking at an object travelling at the speed of light. Motion, like time, is relative to the observer.
(Strictly speaking, under relativity, no object with mass can reach the speed of light, only approach it.)

reasoning from the scriptures says on pp95-97 that months consist of 30 days.. years therefore would be 360 days long.. i have calcaluted(sic)that for every year in the `western'calender such a 360 day calender would fall 4/5 days depending on whether it was a leapyear or not.
now over a period of 2520 years,a 360 day calender would be 9,940 days behind a 364/5 day calender(25 years!
) therefore 2520 years according to book of daniel would fall in 1889!.

Yes, your maths is wrong. 360 multiplied by 7 is 2520. 2520 years from 607 BC is 1914 AD. The WTS uses a 360-day year for reasons known only to themselves.

we know the wt society has a long history of prophecies, especially regarding dates.
almost 100% of such prophecy was in error.. it seems though, that they got a date right by foretelling that 1914 would be "the end of the world as we know it".

Neither. 1914 was one of many dates when they prophesied that something significant would happen. What happened was nothing like they predicted, but because something of world signficance did happen, they later rewrote their own history to make it seem as if they had predicted it. They have also lied and used false statistics and out-of-context quotes to make it seem as if the entire world changed suddenly and completely late in 1914, when in reality it didn't.
