anyone remember the one where kirk got mixed up in the transporter and spit into two people?
one kirk was mean and violent and nasty and tried to feel up yoman rand and swore a lot and attacked people for no good reason.
the other kirk was sweet and nice and he seemed better, but he was kind of a woosie and couldn't make a decision or do anything meaningful except talk about denuvian slime bread toppings and he couldn't even get a bulge in the spandex for yoman rand, but at least he was polite.. gosh, i don't know what made me think of this episode.. night all,.
In one episode (don't remember the name, and wouldn't admit it if I did) their bodies were being controlled by some dudes dressed like Greek Gods. Kirk smooched with Uhura (Nichelle Nichols). It might have been a tiny copout to have them do it under outside control, but it was still a pretty steamy kiss.

let me offer a good example of the use of selective quotations.
for many, many years the society has quoted famed british astronomer sir fred hoyle out of context.
If I recall correctly, the Creation book selectively quoted from Hoyle's book Evolution from Space. I find it hard to believe that anyone could quote from a book with such a title and believe its author was a creationist.

OK, fine, but it doesn't actually say so in the Bible. It may be implied, and you may think it's impossible to infer anything else, but it's not stated.
Take for example the scripture located at 2 Corinthians 11:3, where according to Christendom's Living Bible translation it says: "But I am frightened, fearing that in some way you will be led away from your pure and simple devotion to our Lord, just as Eve was deceived by Satan in the Garden of Eden."That's exegesis, not translation.

One of my favorite etymologies I've come to know from a Readers Digest the origin of the word crime. As I remember there was a old radio news reporter I believe who was Walter Winchell. He had the habit of saying about terrible things that happened "Its a crying shame". It became a oft imitated phrase which was eventuslly shortened to crime.

western lands have gleefully exploited the worlds resources over the past 200 years.most of us have taken advatage of what our economies have offered to us.but has and does our life style not only ruin the earth but ensures that other countries remain pour.. the goods we demand and are used to having ,have a cost to the environment .we want them cheap , this ensures low wages where big western companies can get cheap labour.the size and power of western business means that pourer countries cant grow economically.the big western business are so powerful that they earn more money than entire countries.. suvival of the fittest has taken its toll on mankind while we live in comfort the majority of earth inhabitants don't.how much is our fault?

Agreed. Most of the problems faced by "the rest of the world" have always existed. Capitalism, technology and democracy have eradicated most of those problems in the "west". If the other countries adopted the same principles of freedom, then most likely they would be able to solve their problems too.

im asking this because lately in the uk 2 girls were murdered that were only 12 yrs old and now 59% population of the uk want the death penalty reinstated.. i assume you already have the death penalty in the usa, but do you think it is effective reducing 1st degree murder and potential child molesters,would you like to see the death penalty removed in the united states or not.. i wonder if the death penalty will be reinstated in the uk what do you think, personally i dont think it will maybe the politicians are afraid they wont get as many votes.
!! Besides, do criminals actually think they are going to get caught??? Of course not! So obviously there is no such thing as true deterence.Agreed. It's not like anyone would think: "Well if I kill this guy I'll only get life in prison. Boy I'm sure glad I don't live in a country with the death penalty. There's no way I'd do it then!"

1. Humans were used in the movie as energy source, batteries, for the
Matrix. What happened when the energy was depleted? What happened to
old people in the movie?
It makes no sense to use humans as an energy source. To stay alive, they have to be fed. Feeding them would necessarily use more energy than it would create. Why not use whatever biomass they were feeding the humans as their energy source? They'd also save a huge amount of resources by not having to build a virtual world.

The serpent was innocent of any wrongdoing, a mere tool used by Satan in order to deceive Eve, so what reason would God have to curse this helpless little creatureThat's not what it says in the Bible, Yadirf. Can you show me a scripture that states - or even implies - that the serpent was a tool of Satan? Or are you "going beyond what is written"?
