  i am new to this site, just finding my way around.. i've been studying with jw's for about 15 months.

  i'm an unbaptised publisher, and until recently never missed a meeting, have been out "on the service" quite a lot.

  i've been having difficulties with one of the jw's studying with me and something happened which was just unacceptable.

  Please indulge me some in my questions .... if you don't want to waste a post then you can PM me but either way I am just really really really curious:

  Really you did research and found much was 'right'?

  So your telling me that you really believed that Jesus was enthroned in 1878 1914 and his parousia occurred in 1874 1914.

  And in researching you just happened to find that these dates were swapped to 1914 well after 1914 but still true.

  Further you felt that our kingdom message which is connected to 1914 and not the same as the apostles taught to be true?

  You felt it was just peachy keen that 'holy spirit' was 'removed' or 'taken away' by Jah in 1918 (okay it was in 1932 but retrodated back to 1918) and the direction of the WTS was under 'angels' until early in the Knorr administration?

  How did you reconcile it to Gal 1:6-9?

  How did you feel about the contents of the 'ks91 and recent ks10' (elder manuals which are not viewed by rank and file JWs) ---- If you haven't read these books please click the envelope by your username at the right hand corner of your screen. Click on the message I sent (if you get an error message hit the back button and refresh message page and click the message again..... in the message you will find links to both manual (we only go the ks10 in Oct/Nov last year and the ks91 has lots of notations including instructions to call Branch headquarters in cases of sexual abuse before any police officials are called)

  How do you feel about our No man can be an MS or Elder if he promotes, supports his child going or is himself attending college?

  I am sorry, converts (even though you were just a potential) fascinate me...... most have some emotional distress going on when they accept studies or they are just searching and a nice, clean cut JWs walks in with all the answers......

  I always wonder about the first reactions of new converts when they learn that oral sex isn't allowed and if engaging and it becomes known and the publisher is unrepentant it can quickly become a DFing situation!

  What was going on in your life when you became involved?

  Were you searching, did you have a loss?

  Most 'converts' stop believing on some level at some point but then they want to recoup their investment which is what your mind is trying to do, but it is over.

  Within 24 hours from now you will know more about us, our history and our unwritten rules then you have learned in all your studying...

  The lovebombing and encourgement is nothing more than a trained response.

  Have you been given a copy of the Ministry School book?

  I am sorry you have lost some of your life to this endeavor, try and accept that your gut is telling you.....(something is wrong and isn't gelling)

  If you are already here as a Study....

  It is game over, just ring up an Elder and ask to be put on the 'Do Not Call' list immediately, say that you have lost interest and will not be considering this faith again.

  The rest will come unraveled in the next few hours.

  (BTW I am an active JW)

  hello all.... some of you have been following our story from the beginning - and even those of you who haven't should be able to relate to my quandary.... last week my 14 year old son told me he no longer wants to be a jw.

  we laboured over telling his jw dad all week.

  well, on friday night he finally came clean.. but in a bizarre and unexpected twist, after having sex with his girlfriend for the very first time - in his father's home that very afternoon.

  A great chance to really help in his journey into manhood discussing self-discipline, balance, direction, responsibility and accountablility.... how his choices can add or detract from society.

  He can also equally discern honoring his parent's wishes while under their roof.

  Character building and challenging activities and maybe even a study course might be beneficial......

  Basically empower him to be responsible and accountable in his choices, he isn't a baby just some place between a boy and man......

  He is going to fail, fall and have to pull himself back up again and he will be victorious, glorious and learning to keep a level head.

  Increase his physical fitness activities because they are a great outlet for testosterone......

  er, why do you think HE is seeking "activity so young"?

  Since I have never been a 14 yr old boy I feel unable to render even a guess........which is why I suggested I family counselor as both of his parents were taken off guard and there is a lot of JW and settling after divorce drama going on that might create intertwined issues alongside normal physical development pressures.

  This said I am not discounting sheer curiousity and determination on his part but even if that is the case a counselor might be able to aid his parents and him in a mutual course of action.

  Just a thought....

  Most 14 year old girls aren't out having sex unless their is something missing at home.....

  I am not going to judge this girl but I do think he needs to be alert to the reasons why a girl seeks such activity so young......she wants to be loved or is looking for someone else to hurt her (disappoint, let her down)......Kinda sad....huggles vibes to her.

  Again a great intro into the seriousness of any sexual relationship..... (cuz we don't wanna encourage him using girls)

  If he moves in with you he will have to work harder for an opportunity.

  But again please consider a family counselor....
