  i want to share with you all a most wonderful experience i have just had.

  i have been going to a christian church called the vineyard.

  they have a live band and lots of singing goes on there.

  "In every human being there is the fundamental idea of God". I believe that this is because we were created by God, close to Him and then became alienated through sin. Jesus has made it possible for us to regain the close relationship with God, if we really seek it with all our hearts. I totally surrendered myself and accepted my powerlessness over the situations in my life which have caused me so much sorrow. Then I prayed with complete faith for the grace of God to free me of my pain and heal my broken heart. I felt the Holy Spirit throughout the whole of my body and my prayer has been answered. I am now free of the heavy weight of grief I had been carrying for such a long time.

  Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is within us, so I searched my heart instead of trying to analyse it with my mind.

  My Marriage just ended I feel so sick and stressed please help me. Serious.

  my wife and i split from the witnesses about 2 years now....and now she says we need a divorce asap!

  she doesn't want to work thru it.

  lately and for awhile she has been amazingly aggressive to me.....and pretty much everyone else she knows.

  My heart goes out to you Witness007 as I have been through a divorce and know the anguish you are feeling. My first marriage should of ended much sooner than it did, but it was still a time of much distress for me when it did end. Try to keep everything in the day and spend time with friends you trust and care about you.

  i have read though maddie's thread the last day or so, and have really been repulsed by some of the comments that she received.

  some just responded bs; how eloquent!?.

  When I started this thread I knew that there would probably be a mixed reaction so I haven't taken offence to any of the comments. We all have had so much grief caused by being JW's and I have posted many times about my own so I wanted to let you know how I have found comfort and relief by the grace of God.

  Thank you to all those who have faith and are happy for me. As in the time of Jesus, many saw the miracles he performed and still did not believe. The same is true today I suppose. All I know is that I honestly sought God with all my heart and faith and he gave me help. I do not doubt that for a second.

  I want to share with you all a most wonderful experience I have just had. I have been going to a Christian Church called The Vineyard. They have a live band and lots of singing goes on there. There is a strong emphasis on asking for the Holy Spirit in prayer for healing etc. With the JW's the meetings are all about control and head knowledge (no spontaneity or self-expression), so it was quite a culture shock at first to see people really "feeling" and expressing their worship with such joy.

  Towards the end of the worship those with physical illnesses were invited to go to the front for healing through prayer. I dont have any physical illness or pain but I struggle emotionally with quite a lot, especially the grief of being cut off entirely by my JW son and not seeing my dear little granddaughter now. Anyway I felt drawn to have prayer and humbly surrendered myself to God for the pain to be taken from me. As I stood there I began to tremble from head to toe literally. I knew that the Holy Spirit had touched me and it was amazing! Since then I feel protected and the terrible aching grief has gone from me.

  I know there are many sceptics and atheists on JWD but it has been a truly beautiful and humbling experience for me and one that I am grateful to God for.

  After all these years.........POOF! The desire is gone

  after all these years, i finally experienced this weird deep sense of calm, peaceful resignation.

  i realized after desperately wanting my jw sister and the other witness family members to see the real "truth" about the organization that now i dont want to change them anymore.

  i have absolutely no desire to pontificate on the absurdity of believing the doctrines and directives of the watchtower society.

  "No...those leaving Jehovah is what tore our family apart."

  Exactly what I got from my family - they are indoctrinated to believe this and its so very sad and tragic. I am trying to "let go, and let God" as they say in AA. I don't want to spend the rest of my life in pain and anguish over something I am completely powerless over. The WT has already taken too much away from me so I aim to let them have no more of me. Good luck on your journey too.
