If you wanted to fade, you shouldn't have written a letter. 'Fade' isn't an option they offer, it is something you do without them knowing. It sounds like your wife and kids are with you, so focus on that instead of the JWs.

letter to the elders about wanting to fade
by focariedu21 ini wrote a letter to the elders of my congregation about my family wanting to fade and voicing my disgust at the way they handled matters with my self and family whilst i was in their congregation as we were treated with contempt and so were my children just because we were different.
i personaly sacrificed my entire life for these brothers giving and giving and giving my self materially and physically, and every other way possible together with my family to the point of loosing all my posessions including my family and most recently my mother who contracted parkinsons.
as you all know we looked after her for many years together with my wife and kids without the help of the congregation nor my siblings.

Put some in the bathroom stalls. That way someone can read or tuck one away in private. But not every stall at the same time, because one zealous person will clear the rest out and sound the alarm for the attendants to check it out. Also, the nursing women's room. Good luck

Considering Shunning my JW Friend
by InterestedOne ini had a discussion with my jw friend during which i asked her why a rational person should believe the world is run by demons.
in response, she questioned the existence of objective rationality.
she said that we should "agree to disagree.

Don't shun her. Just don't choose to hang out with her anymore. People move in and out of friendships all the time and when they see each other on accident they simply make small talk and move on. Not everything has to be a dramatic event. I would not choose to hang out or converse seriously with someone who cannot think for themselves. But, I see no need to be mean to her unless she won't leave you alone.

FADERS: How determined are you?
by VampireDCLXV inafter being here on jwn for a while, one does see a spectrum of sorts.
there are people here in various stages of their exit from their lives as jws.
some are full fledged kh and fs attendees whom we call "the conscious class".

Your two new questions: #1- I am not DF and for a while I was worried about it because my parents still talk to me right now. But, we all know that even without the DF, the elders can pressure those still in to shun. My folks have tried a few times, but it hurts my mom not to see my kids (we have never been close) so she always apologizes for her hurtful words and invites us back. #2- The last time the elders came to my door (5th time in 10 days) I told them I would call the police next time they "dropped by" and report that two men were harassing me and, as a single mom living alone, I was afraid for my safety. They never came back and I haven't had to deal with any pressure to either come back or DA.

I DONT want their help! :D
by TimothyT inhello people,.
despite the advice given here, i thought it only fair to tell the elders that are calling me to 'help me' with my sexuality, that i dont want their help!
yesterday one called.. he told me that he and another elder would like to speak with me to find out what the situation is.

I will never go back. The only thing I miss is my extended family. But, they are in a different state, so it is only bad when they visit every few years. Their conditional love is not worth the intellectual and spiritual prison that is the Jehovah's Witnesses. I have been out for 12 years.

Why do I no longer get attacked and persecuted by the demons, since I left JW,s ?
by pedal power inmost jw.s really believe that they ( as we once did ) are promoting gods will, but what if they really are ?
is it possible that god is supporting them even though they (governing body ) lie, because most jw,s are ignorant of the lies told on their behalf, ?.
when i was a jw i got attacked by the demons bigtime, but not now, and i can only assume that they (demons ) are happy that i am no longer a jw and are now leaving me alone, cant think of any other reason, has god ever supported a group who were similarly found wanting ?.

Depression can cause you to feel pain that isn't there. It can also cause you to mischaracterize other people's body language and tone of voice. I can see how it could cause someone to see something that isn't there if the fear of such things is present already.

The first time I said the rosary (after leaving JW obviously) I had my eyes closed and could see a white face staring at me about 3 inches away, so close that I felt suffocated. When I stopped praying and opened my eyes, it went away. When I started again, it came back. My JW mom said it was a demon who was praying with me to an idol. The nun at the church told me it was Mary showing herself and welcoming me into Christ's love. My Rabbi says that it was just a leftover image in my head after closing my eyes and the suffocated feeling was because I was nervous about praying differently than I was raised. Which one sounds reasonable? I do have a good demon story from childhood, though.
