  Each generation dictates what is moral what is acceptable

  If one was born into a culture of accepted violence then that would be the absolute norm

  Any experience with the creators true intention is self evident by the fact that love is all that is contained therein , any negative emotion such as anger , hate , intolerance and any action such as ridicule or derision is not of the creator but merely a manifestation of self .

  The only absolute in life is the absolute desire to obtain knowledge of the creator and to become one with the creator

  The ideas man hold dear and the books man write have very little to do with the creator

  STOP THE MADNESS....where is this board going?

  i've only posted since feb 07..but i have lurked for several years prior and there was usually something interesting on the board.

  as i was reading the active topics list this morning, only a couple things jumped out at me as interesting...its been this way since the dgate and tgate incidents.... i was discussing this with a long time poster via im yesterday....does it seem to anyone else that so many of the topics are ...i dont know....odd...or different than they used to be...and i dont mean that in a good way.. i miss the newbies coming on and telling us their stories.... i miss the long time posters updating us on their lives post-borg... i guess with the recent uproar, the lurkers are hesitant to become newbies (cant say as i blame them now...we probably scared them off , and maybe the vets are just as hesitant...after all, someone went 2 years with their fraud/hoax...who will believe anyone else now?

  i hope this is just a temporary cycle on this board..i have read many many posts from the archives...i hope one day soon we can get back to a happy medium here.. by the way, i like the fluff threads, but these seem to be more and more sex related (maybe that word will wake someone)... yet they get all the attention....and then someone goes too far and it gets locked down by a mod and the poster restricted......(i am not a prude...just sometimes enough is enough).

  I have no opinion on what is worse

  I made no assertion of right or wrong on the morality of killing

  Morality is an individual choice

  I merely stated the obvious truth that one can not effectivly change anything with an opinion

  The perception of an opinion as a means to an end , as some sort of vehicle to empowerment, is merely indicative of a deluded mind set that insists on it own importance above another individuals.

  I agree that ending the life of a human being is undesirable and aborhant

  That being said ,it is not my right to make other peoples choices for them . That belief , that assumption is corrupt and suspect.

  In the big scheme of things all we do is nothing more than a small personal experience that changes very little in the world around us or in the greater arena of existence.

  If one could advance an ideal free of corruption that brought freedom and understanding, the situations that have a need for choice to kill or not would be much less likely to arise , so debateing what is or what isn't or hitting around an opinion is rather pointless unless one has a message that requires people to think in a new way and in that way causing new behavior

  Belaboring the obviousness of a given situation is nothing more than a massaging of the ego and completely moot

  I do not suffer from "feel good moral relatavism" I see things the way they are nothing more nothing less

  The nature of all things is plain to see if one removes ones conditioning from the observation

  I believe that would be described as the scientific approach

  That being so it would behoove an honest mind to accept the apparent truth of an observation and take understanding from that alone on it's own merit rather than attempting to gain a consensus or impose ones own conditioning on others in an attempt to alter the observation in some way

  Honesty is nothing more than seeing what is ,rather than what we would like to see , morality is a delusion as well as a hinderence to true understanding of the fundamental state of reality

  pro-life is just a label pro-choice is a label

  There is no argument there is only choice ,kill or not .

  To believe that we have the right to make that decision for another individual is the epitome of arrogance

  War is wrong ,starvation is wrong ,drug abuse is wrong , many things are wrong

  You can engage in it or not, be a part of it or not , you cannot change a persons conditioning with any action except love

  This is an observation that has been around for a very long time.

  How about speaking from a more human expression so what is there would actually be part of the criteria that is utilized when a Woman must make the arguable most difficult decision in her life

  We all exist because we impose ourselves on all of creation

  Noone alive today is free of the fact that we all exist at the cost of other life, period

  To take an imaginary moral high ground is just another fine example of our conditioning to believe we are supeior which allows us to do as we wish.

  What makes an opinion valuble?

  The intent is valuable , the expression of love in an intent is valuable, the expression of hate ,anger ,exclusion, seperatness inherint in an opinion are only more fuel to the negative energy that chokes the truth from the world

  Life and death are two sides if the same thing.

  Death comes to all

  No right or wrong it just comes to ALL

  To label right or wrong to an inevitable event is as productive as fearing it

  I do not desire the death of any living thing ever

  Attaching an emotional charge to an opinion is just allowing oneself to fall deeper into the trance of our self delusion and suffer for an even longer period of time

  Our desires to see "right" done are in reallity just poison to our spirit

  We all know in our deepest inner self what is "right" or "wrong"

  Denying this truth is how suffering and "wrong" come to be in the first place, so ultimately we are all guilty of the very thing that we despise ,on the most fundamental level, we are guilty of the same mind and way of seeing the world that causes what we loathe to occur.

  Why Post on JWD if not from JWism?

  i've noticed lots of people posting here that have never been witnesses.

  since the nature of this forum is mostly about.

  the issues and problems ex-jws face and about keeping an eye on developments within the wt org, why would anybody .

  Feeling self reproach becuase one sought relief from the pain of being human is just a goad of the mind to keep the spirit of a person under control of the mind. The reverse is the reality of humaness

  Society as a whole predisposes us to being cult members CULTure The word to describe a group of humans who share a common existence

  We are all the end result of being duped. Whether we join a more select wierdness or not ,we are all members of a cult untill we choose to undue the conditioning that society enforces as soon as we draw a breath.

  Unlearning this conditioning can be painfull as in seemingly bad experiences or pleasurable as in feeling a sense of fullfillment

  Either way we must seek the freedom from the mental constructs that we use to define who we are and what we should be doing and just understand things as they are without the predisposed and conditioned intellect imposing it's view.

  Learn to BE what you are. do not seek to know what you are.

  I post to converse and learn . Hopefuly my understading will be of aid to a troubled and confused indivudual.

  One of the purposes in life is to be imposed on by others and to impose oneself on them.

  People in religions are seeking understanding for the most part , I was just curious about what I saw as another venue to enlightenment when I had an experience with JWism.

  In my time here I have developed a much greater sense of a humans place in creation. Only through exposure to dissent and experience can one achieve understanding .

  Understanding the fundamental nature of our state of existence is the highest achievment , the greatest reward , the purpose of life and the fullfillment of that pupose , we all seek understanding.

  Posting here has opened the spirit of a great many and allowed the light of consiousness to illuminate the dark recessess of our self imposed delusion.

  I post here becuase I love and want to show where love can be experienced as it was meant to be experienced

  It is my desire to share myself with others in the most benificial way in which it is possible

  Posting is an expression of love and healing

  while i was a jw, i heard repeatedly that dr spok's techniques do not work.

  it was wordly psycology.

  we should follow the bible's advice to not spare the "rod" or spoil the child.

  Dr.Spok and I see very similar views. My son is a wonderful human being concientious ,considerateand thoughtful. He was raised with LOVE nothing else.

  Discipline and punishment are two seperate things.

  I have always been smarter and older (ie;more experienced ) than my children

  Living the way you wish your child to act is how we teach , not doing and saying different things.

  Dr.Spok is mostly an affirmation of parenting instinct. A pretty good guy.
