What's happening is very simple. People like you and me are "borrowing" those books to check the facts about the JWs. Once they discover everything is fake, some forget to return those books and they become part of their libraries in case someone ask them about it. Others throw them to the garbage.

There is no library conspiracy. The GB knows the JWs are too busy with the new light to spend time with the old one. They are not worried.

So why ARE women allowed to speak at congregation meetings?

the apostle paul said that women should be silent in congregation meetings and not flap their traps.

if they need to talk about something, they can talk about it with their husband when they get home.

so why does the wbts pick and choose which verses they apply and which they do not?

The GB pick and choose the parts of the Bible that fit (or they made fit) with their ideas. So, that's why it doesn't make sense when you read the Bible.

About that Bible passage, I think that was a letter Paul wrote to correct and specific situation in that congregation. It doesn't apply today. Otherwise, we should be allowed to have slaves like they had then.

it was a thrilling experience (more like a disney ride really, since the line wasn't that long).

I don't know how many but I know a few. Some are trying to change the Borg from inside, others are fading far from home, others are ex-elders, and others tell things like: "I am not sure this is God's Org but, this is the best there is out there.". I know there is a lot of people who are awake and inside (thousands!)

Today is a proud day for me. I became part of my fellow citizens in this country by casting my vote. It was a thrilling experience (more like a Disney ride really, since the line wasn't that long). Apparently nobody from the KH saw me doing it, but I wasn't scared much anyway. I am happy!

And yes, I always say I am still an elder, so, the newbies in this forum can see that there is no holy spirit in the appointment. I was an unbeliever when I was appointed and still am. All I needed to do was to submit 10 or more fake hours each month. That's it.

No children until the new system---Has this changed?

i have noticed that the "wait until the new system for children" montra has seemed to go away in the past few years from the wt.

i am thinking that they realized that if the dubs stop having children, then they will stop growing in numbers.

as a result, they have stopped putting in writing that the dubs should wait to have children.

I just talked to a JW friend (I am an elder in good standing, so he doesn't know what I really think), and he told me he and her wife are dying to have a baby, but since the last KM said that the end is so close we can see the dark clouds, they will wait until the New Order arrives. Go figure. :(
