here here WLG,
I agree, this forum is like a good friend.
a few weeks ago my youngest daughter wanted to know about my past, what happened when her mom and i split...when i left the truth and turned apostate.
i gave her this site and my username...and now she's able to read for herself what happened...at least from my perspective.
i have to say it's a fantastic thing that this site exists and all of these records from the years are in one place.
here here WLG,
I agree, this forum is like a good friend.
hey,.
i've been lurking on this website for a few years now and finally made an account.
i have serious doubts about the organization in general and still have not made up my mind about what to believe.
Welcome,
Keep an open mind use logic and reason and you will do fine.
last year i did a review of 2011 for the forum.
this was more of a review that focussed on some of the awful stuff that was printed in the literature that year - the first year of my awakening.. 2012 has been more interesting from the point of view of things actually happening outside the literature.
i thought it might be nice to take a look back and put some of these events in chronological order.... .
It was a very good year for us apostates. We've seen some big things happen in 2012. We are now one year closer to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society's collapse I hope it comes soon.
now i know that there are some here that can supply plenty of documented proof as to the hatred inciting teachings of the past presidents and the now rulling governing body in the literature they export world wide.. any former member who has changed his mind and no longer excepts these hate inspireing teachings of the governing body is labeled "mentally diseased" meaning these people are to be avoided because they have a catchy mental malfunction that is deadly.. all governments are controlled by an invisible master mind who has only evil intentions and is leading the vast majority of the human race to thier destruction.
and thier followers are encouraged to hate what jehovah hates and jehovah hates all the governments of the earth includeing isreal and even the united nations of which they are members as an ngo.. in russia thier literature is rightly ban because it is reccognized as hatred inspireing.
(no shit sherlock!).
I think the Watch Tower's own publications have sealed thier fate and in time they will reap the whirl wind from thier own twisted writings used to insight hatred for so long. The times are changing, child molestation is becomeing more of a crime than before, and so will the hate inspireing propagandic literature of Watch Tower as we move farther into the age of enlightenment, and grow in sensitivity towards fairness, and mistreatment of our fellow man.
I agree and I hope the Jehovah's Witness organization go's down soon.
i'm not talking about any gb members, either!.
George Benson after one of his concert's he met with Jdubs in the front of the theatre we proved we were Jdubs with our blood cards that was many years ago
Danny Adair, the drummer from Nickleback I met him at a bar in Vegas and we went to a dueling piano bar together.
Vicci Martinez one of the finalists on the Voice TV show she came from a witness family and Iv'e know her for many years.
this happened about last week here in florida.
a bus carrying 32 jehovah's witnesses driven by a hired bus driver got lost on the way to west palm beach and crashed at the entrance of miami int'l airport.
dozens were injured and 2 passed away.
one of the commenters on the article from the second link said:
"So sad, Jehovah will help them all get through this".
I'm just wondering if Jehovah can help them get through it, why couldn't he have helped avoid it?
i don't post here that much, though i read posts everyday.
it's mostly because of the ie7 problem (don't use ff that much).
anyway, that's beside the point.
How would he feel if you (accidentally) left COC laying around the house? Do you think there is a chance he would pick it up and read a little of it?
one of the most freeing things i've been able to do since fading from the watchtower's tendril like grasp is, "read what i want to" i particularly enjoy historial novels because they entertain and inform all at the same time.
i'm just finishing the first of a trilogy "fall of giants" and there was a paragraph that made me think of the great influence of propaganda machines (probably because i was so influenced by the watchtower) i am hugely aware of it's power to lead people all over the place like the waves of the sea i suppose.. here is the paragraph:.
maud knew the proprietor of the mail, lord northcliffe.

Yes I agree, the web is a game changer and of course we are already seeing it’s affects in the world and for many of us in our own lives.
BluePill2:
Excellent thoughts thanks “ we have this evolving-adaptive mind system and eventually we change.” So true
flipper:
History does seem to repeat itself and I’m hoping that enough people now influenced by all the information they have access too will affect mankind’s overall outcome. And I agree that there is only so much we can control. Peace to you my friend. I’m hoping to see you next summer at Tahoe.
Berengaria:
Good thought, it is an ongoing struggle or as I prefer to call it, ongoing process.
Glander:
I know what you mean about the book having a lot of soapy drama and also I thought the circumstances were a bit unbelievable however it kept my attention and taught me some things about history.
Cadellin:
Yes there was a lot of violence in this book, it is about war, the big one with fighting in trenches and dead rotting bodies and rats eating human remains and....I hope your not getting sick to your stomach reading this.
zeb:
I agree with you that “the new game is to use your brain and personal sense of decency to do the sorting.” I hope that’s what I’m now doing now that I don’t have the mental constraints that the Watchtower placed upon me.

Dagney:
Yes of course I forgot about that. So then, I guess there's no need for further concern.

Here is the paragraph:
Maud knew the proprietor of the Mail, Lord Northcliffe. Like all great press men, he really believed the drivel he published. His talent was to express his readers’ most stupid and ignorant prejudices as if they made sense, so that the shameful seemed respectable. That was why they bought the paper.
Follett, Ken (2011-08-30). Fall of Giants: Book One of the Century Trilogy (p. 754). Penguin Group. Kindle Edition.
At the time in the book that this paragraph was written, WW1 had just ended and now there was a jockying of political structure not only in Eastern Europe and Germany but even in Western Europe and England the war of people was now clearly in the hands of the smooth talkers, the one who could "express his readers' most stupid and ignorant prejudices as if they made sense".
Is this still being done today? Of course it is. Now we have every way imaginable to communicate to just about everyone in the world these ignorant prejudices. But wait there is more. We don't just have one or two magazines or newpapers to read nor do we have one or two radio stations or television channels or libraries. Now anybody who is a smooth talker can rise to the ocasion with blog's forum's yada yada yada.
So where does mankind go from here? Is it all just a cycle? Is history still continuing to repeat itself? Will it always be this way?
What are your thoughts? Do you think life is a cycle that can't be changed? Or do we somehow have an impact in some way? Will governments continue to become more opressive or will there be a move to an Anarchical Society.
These are questions I continue to ponder because, NOW I CAN.
Because for 28 years I felt guilty for thinking anything else.
