we had another couple over this weekend.

after taking a reasonable hike in the woods, we came back to the house, made a fire and began to talk a bit.

these folks are long time friends of ours and are (like us) slowly easing out of the kingdom hall.

The Mormons tried re-branding with the change from Mormon to "Later Day Saints" but it didn't work for me, I still consider them as Mormon.

The same thing will happen with the JWorgs

Since leaving the truth, do you celebrate holidays, and does your participation in such bring you happiness?

i ask this respectfully, and do so after watching a favorite show of mine's season opener which had a new years storyline.

hollywood tends to make movies and television show episodes centered around holiday themes appear warm and blissful.

while i'm thankful to have never participated in such holidays, i can't deny my curiosity about ex-jws that do celebrate.

our extended families are so busy and the only time we get to see them is during the holidays or birthdays. I do find joy in seeing children getting gifts and feeling special on a certain day of the year. Why not I say. And what makes me the happiest is that I can do whatever I want and god doesn't really give a shit because it's not what I do or don't celebrate it's what's inside of me and who I am that god gives a shit about.

In fact I find happiness in everything I do now that I'm not being controlled by the Jehovah's Witness cult.

Sparlock crawls out of the garbage can and sneeks into Caleb's room wakes him up and tells him he's here to save people from

religious cults. Then Sparlock and Caleb go on an adventure together to help Calebs family escape the clutches of the Borg.

There could be enemy charecter's like "Splane Boy", "Roach man", etc.

millions of people worldwide were put on high alert!.

when the non-event passed with only an embarassing silence, the purpose of the watchtower faltered, sputtered and almost died, but only momentarily.. like a veteran boxer knocked to the floor for a 9 count, things in the local kingdom halls shifted into "downtime" as policies relaxed until the men at the top of the jw foodchain could find their legs again.. ridicule, humiliation and a demand for explanations became an avalanche piling up in the local kingdom hall.. this was the moment of truth for "the truth".. it was now or never.. would this religion look itself in the mirror and see wrong-headedness and self-delusion?.
