These are the words in the Bible that now make so much sense to me:
Ps. 146:3
3 Do not put YOUR trust in nobles,
Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs.
"what is truth?".
35 years of a jw life i have come to the conclusion that this got to be the best sentence in the bible and reflects my thinking.
three words......only three words, in form of a question that could have saved me over 30 years of %$#% experiences with the wt.. think about the deepness of this sentence....
These are the words in the Bible that now make so much sense to me:
Ps. 146:3
3 Do not put YOUR trust in nobles,
Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs.
here's one thing to start off our list: jws can't stand for the country's national anthem (but they can rise for the flag salute).
They can't be on this web-site. I'm sure that has been mentioned but just in case any of you dubbers are on here, shame, shame shame.

what's your favorite cut of meat for grilling?
mine is ribeye, by far.
always tender and juicy, it's hard to get a bad ribeye!.
NY steak with plenty of fresh ground pepper pressed into them before grilling then a sauce made with Makers Mark bourbon spread on them just to finish them off on the grill
the sauce is made with Maker's Mark, some Agave sweetner, and a little bit of cornstarch to tighten it up a bit. If you don't like the steaks, you'll love the sauce.

this is an excerpt from a jw email that was posted in another thread:.
i believe it is completely inappropriate for a christian to go against what the fds says, because they are the anointed of jehovah.
king saul here, he was evil, he was a person who was detestable in the eyes of god, yet, as a faithful servant of god, david did not dare thrust his hand against jehovah's anointed.
So right now, I'm still channel surfing. Not sure if any human channel's are any good.

what would the elders do if they learned about a brother that went to the business expo at the local church?
Don't worry about it they can't do anything to you just tell them it was a secular thing and there was nothing about religion in it.

wish I could come out
i have a few questions in regard to a couple of bible passages that i have recently read.
i was hoping that someone may kindly elucidate a few issues.. in romans7:7, paul quotes the decalogue, specifically exodus 20:17, which reads - "you shall not covet your's neighbor's house.
in fact, how is a woman rendered unclean at all simply for having given birth?
I feel that this circumstance is because of the situation that took place in the garden with Eve. She was decieved by the snake (Satan) and then enticed Adam to comply. So this berating of women stems from the degree of blame placed on a woman for frustrating the purpose of God by rebelling in the garden.

i have a feeling that the elders in our area are overwhelmed with responsibilities.
my father in law some may recall is quite ill and has an abusive wife who is a regular pioneer.
he has repeatedly asked for visits, shepherding calls and help from the elders to get his wife in line and tell her she needs to help him instead of everyone else.
Helping people is not the number one priority. This was demonstrated quite clearly in this year's DC drama. So as long as your wasting your time (two hours every Sat.) your saved and by the time your done with the two hours and maybe a waste of time study during the week you don't want to be bothered by having to help someone with real problems.
Elders have to get at least 6 hours a month in the field circus as long as they are doing a few shepherding calls too. And those shepherding calls are usually done to try and get the sheep to go to meetings and in the field more not really to help them. It's all a show for eachother. Did you ever notice that whenever you use to talk to another witness one of the first things they mentioned was there last trip out in field service. That's because they wanted to let you know they were doing their job.
