It was tough as a man, I remember going to the Kingdom hall and praying that Jah take my strong sexual desire away from me. My then wife, I like to call her my practice wife was not much when it came to sex and I was lucky if we did it once a week, now that I'm remarried with my real wife I'm so happy that god didn't answer my prayer.

Reinstatement
by Pinky inwhat questions do the elders ask you when you are in your meeting requesting to get reinstated ?.
-
ldrnomo
They ask these things:
Have you fully repented from your sinful ways?
Did you ask Jehovah for forgiveness?
Do you pray regularly?
If your sin affected others did you apologize to them?
Do you study regularly?
Do you witness to others about Jehovah?
These questions will give you some general ideas.

Dan Brown books, Da Vinci code, origin, inferno. All good Origin is about a computer scientist who develops a super computer that can predict how life became and where it's going

Enlightenment, Will It Be A Rather Common Experience In The Future?
by Brokeback Watchtower init has been said by some that an enlightened being came/happened once every 500 years, but now they seem to be popping up all over the place.. the buddha had to meditate like hell, he even starved himself to attain it.
monks spend many years doing some are successful some are not.. i think with science looking into these nirvana states of mind that they will figure out a way to end suffering for the human species which will usher in a whole different way of life with higher intelligence running things.
from my understanding of enlightenment it is a sort of rewiring of the brain where the signals go up pleasure side of the amygdala where as painful emotions and sensations go up the other side.

In my opinion. Certain drugs can accelerate this phenomena.

Hideout for predator
by ab.ortega ini read this comment posted on a news site: .
if the police show up at the kingdom hall looking for a sexual predator, the elders will escort them out an emergency exist and tell them to "hide out until the coast is clear.".
is this true, is there printed instructions to support it?
-
ldrnomo
I doubt there are any printed instructions to the elders for a procedure like this, however it wouldn't surprise me if there were some sort of word of mouth "principles" talked about in some congregations.

"Abolish all doubt, and what's left is not faith, but....
by dubstepped in... absolute, heartless conviction.
you're certain that you possess the truth -- inevitably offered with an implied uppercase t -- and this certainty quickly devolves into dogmatism and righteousness, by which i mean a demonstrative, overweening pride in being so very right, in short, the arrogance of fundamentalism.".
i just thought i'd share this.
