NEED HELP WITH 'NEW LIGHT' & THE GENERATION DOCTRINE
by Mary ini was talking to gumby today and he told me that one elder that he knows said: "...he heard a gb mention of some new light about the "generation".
he said the gb member said they now believe that scripture applied to only the annointed...".

Growing a Beard.
by Priest73 inso, why is it that we (xy chromosomes) feel obligated to grow beards once we leave the org?
i've had a little 'chin' beard for about the last 8 years, but every year in november i try to grow the whole thing out... but inevitably i fail miserably.
maybe my facial follicles are still jws.

NotaNess, I use an old-fashioned straight razor and a badger hair shaving brush. I went with a straight razor because I have very sensitive skin and those cartridge disposables are terrible, even the quintuple-bladed techno razors that they advertise so incessantly on TV. A straight razor won't clog up like those multi-blade pieces of crap, and it's much cheaper than laying out $15 a pop for a packet of cartridges.
My shaving cream of choice is J.M. Fraser's, a nice inexpensive cream that makes a thick lather with a mild lemony fragrance.
I get it for around $7 a tub at barber supply stores and one tub lasts about 6 to 8 months.
This place carries it if you want to order online but they're a bit more expensive because they're in the US and the Canadian dollar is really strong.

I look like a hobo if I try to grow a beard. It doesn't grow in very nicely so I just shave it.
Ironically, I can't shave too close or I get horrible skin irritation, so I always have to leave a very fine stubble. -

The U.S. is a pretty big country, maybe you should rephrase that to say "What places are WORTH visiting?"

To freak them out I'd choose anything by Tool.
To fluster them I'd take "I cum blood" by Cannibal Corpse. -

I am sooo stupid...we taught evolution?? What else don't I know?
by oompa ini asked my dad not too long ago.."just how many things do we have to be wrong about before you start to wonder if we really have the truth?
" he said he had kind of thought about that and we talked about whether being wrong about so many things in the past meant we were teaching falsehoods...just like we condemn every other religion of.
so i have really made him think about the sept km about only using wt literature (he had this part).

While I agree that the society has never taught macroevolution (they get around it by using "kinds") I have to strongly disagree with your statement that macroevolution never happened.
Take a really easy example: whales.
There is ample paleontological, molecular biological and morphological evidence that indicate whales evolved from a form of ungulate.
One could argue that this is just a massively long period of microevolution, but that would make the point moot because clearly whales are a different species from land ungulates.
Going back even farther, there is evidence to support that lower jaw bone structures in reptiles eventually became the inner ear bones in mammals.
Macroevolution's precise mechanism is hotly debated, but not its existence. -

Hello straw man, nice to meet you.
Notice what I said about re-watching the segment starting at 6 minutes 44 seconds and ending at 9 minutes 23 seconds. He says that the driving force behind the space program is Nazi ideology applied to the mastery of space. -

Did you leave for more than ONE major reason ?
by JH ini hear people say they left the org.
for this or that reason.. in your case, was there more than one reason why you left ?.
i left because there was a lack of true love towards me.

Reason one was the lack of honesty about their history, reason two (main reason) was the ridiculous stance taken vis-à-vis Noah's flood, a third reason might be the hypocritical and selective way they apply Jesus' teachings about love, forgiveness and the so-called "fruits of the spirit."
Further research into Genesis turned me into an atheist, so I guess total loss of faith was reason four. -

It never said that the Nazis are behind it but that the USA used these Nazi scientist to start the US's space programs for military advange, it merely brings out the reasons and history of NASA's formation, what you said above is your own conclusion, and not the videos. I think you need to sharpen your observation skills a little more if you think they said that or were trying make you draw that conclusion.

Excuse me?
Re-watch the segment between 06:44 and 09:23. He's outright saying that there was an "infection" (his words) of Nazi ideology that became the sinister driving force behind the space program. He even goes so far as to say the slogan for the US Space command is a thinly veiled update of "Deutschland über alles."
Again, I still want to know what I'm supposed to be so frightened about.
