  MY EX WAS AT MY HOME......

  He was here when I got home from work. He was helping my son put a new desk together. I questioned him about his standing, i.e. if he still attends the meetings? His first response was,

  "In Canada?" (?????? ...What's wrong with Canadian congregations? *LOL*)

  (he's been living with his GF for the past year up in Vancouver, BC) Then I asked him,

  "Well, do you still consider yourself a Witness?"

  His response,

  "I don't know!"

  *heehee*....that tells me he doesn't and is still at the fading level. Still too afraid to admit the truth. But hey....I'm happy....that light is shining brighter towards him. Hallelujah!

  all I can say to you is that eventually you will see the real light and will wished you had listened to us earlier. In the meantime, you're under no time pressure to get out of her, because God's time is not equivalent to human time like you have been taught. But God will see to it that your eyes are opened, in HIS time.

  "Stumbling Stones" in the congregation

  i remember a brother telling me many years ago, that he could have bought a beautiful fur coat to his wife, but he didn't want others in the congregation to be jealous.

  that was the mentality back then.

  no one wanted to be a stumbling stone.. gee, today you see acuras and expensive cars all around the kingdom hall parking lot.

  We bought cars we liked, whether they were convenient for service or not. While our kids were young, we ONLY had 2 doors. I didn't want them falling out if they were to open a door when child safety locks were deactivated, which would be the case if used for service.

  the yoga instructor passes around little sandalwood scented eye pillows, pops in a "mood music" cd, and dims the lights.

  we all sit cross legged on our slightly sticky mats.

  I forgot one VERY AWESOME benefit to Yoga. For anyone who finds it hard to sit and relax for a few moments, e.g. someone with ADHD or ADD, Yoga can help them even if only for a 15 min. - half hour time.

  Why Paradise Would Drive JWs Insane

  what would qualify as the most paradise-like spot on earth?

  i'd say somewhere in the pacific islands.. tropical breezes, lying in the warm sun on beautiful beaches ..... and so on.. but funny isn't it that these places often have high rates of suicide!?.

  The Antartica? *heehee* I think it would actually benefit us all if they went there. It would freeze their mouths shut too.

  This posting is actually making me wonder what THE Paradise will really be like. If not like a tropical island, then what? When we die, then we will know and no sooner. In the meantime, I'm beginning to wonder what Paradise really is? I think I will believe Sylvia Browne's version. What she says, makes a whole lot more sense now.

  How long does it take to "catch up" from the WTBTS stunting your growth?

  following my last thread about how being a jw stunts your mental growth, .

  i was thinking f how many people here that have recently come out of the haze...and seem to be "caught up" on their mental abilities rather quickly.

  does your mind catch up to your age as soon as the "flip switches"....or does it take time living in the "real world" for a while that does it?.

  It took me about 4 years after being DF to feel totally escaped. I think it depends too on what you take into your life afterwards, i.e. who you hang out with, what activities you take part in. The sooner you get exposed to the real wonderful world, the better. GO FOR IT...ASAP!

  P.S. How about we all gang up on the Society and run them aground. If we can't take them to court for what they did, let's show revenge....in a decent, proper way.
