Hell, you're already making to poor guy dance..... Don't make life any more difficult for him! <Note to females.... we men only dance for your sake. If it was up to us, the only dancing available would be at places with stages and poles where scantily clad females accepted dollar bills from us.>

JW's and their phantom hall on Dead Man's Curve
by Gopher inthe jw's planned a double-hall near a dangerous curve in the road.
the project was ill-conceived, and now they're publicly whining about not getting it approved anyway.
obviously jehovah did not bless their efforts to push for a kingdom hall on this site.. http://www.connpost.com/ci_7020724?source=rss.

They should build Kingdom Halls in the mall. That way they can do field service in the mall on Saturday.

The truth is that "Religion is a snare and a racket"
Also, the Awake! once had an article on how to keep apples fresh in the refrigerator by placing them in a brown paper bag. It's true. I tried it.
I always called it the Asleep! magazine because they were so boring. Besides that, I can't think of anything.

I think George Carlin has the answer for us. He said that many people assume that God can do anything. He proved that God can not do everything. Here's the proof as per George Carlin: "Is it possible for God to make a rock so big and so heavy that he can no longer move it?" See? I've been thinking about THAT question for 20 years! Well, can he or can't he? JWs can't answer that one.
Another question I've had since I was a kid.
I noticed that many of the JWs in my congregation only became JWs after they were adults. Most of them did any and everything in their youths that go against being religious or a JW. I've even known one that was a professional killer in his past life. (Seriously, I'm not making it up. He was for real!) But, when they became JWs, miraculously all was forgiven them and they were in good standing in the congregation. Yet, if one of us (like me) that was born in the truth and strictly adhered (or was made to adhere by parents) to the rules and regulations of the JWs all of their lives, how do ones like that get disfellowshipped for minor infractions? And, even if they are reinstated, they get treated like they have the plague, but yet these ones who did much more terrible things for the majority of their lives get treated like royalty just because they decided to sign up? Why does someone who spent their youth endulging in everything the world has to offer and never having to resist temptation get the same, or better, status than one who lived their entire lives as a JW? Basically, they got it all out of their system and lost the desire for life before they joined up, so temptation isn't such a big issue. Seriously, what does God think about that? It's kind of like the proverbial "death bed confession". Rather than living in a "godly" way their entire lives, they wait until the last part of their lives to get religion and try to redeem themselves. I just never got that. How does God view this arrangement?

On the way back from the grocery store....afternoon chuckle!!
by sweetstuff inwe went shopping this afternoon, my two little girls and i, on the way home, they were both excitedly talking about halloween.
my youngest, who is seven, lets out this comment that nearly had me veering off the road with laughter.
she said, "i know what i want to be for halloween already, a jehovah's witness" well, i started to laugh right away, my eldest girl asked her why, she says, "they knock on people's door all the time and they are really scary".

When I was a JW as a kid, I always wondered why the witnesses didn't go door to door during Haloween. I figured that it was a good idea because it was the one time of the year that you could pretty much count on people answering the door! Hell, ya might even get some good candy, too!

And what's wrong with a ford?I'm v happy with my new fiesta thanks!
Hell, you should have sold him a Ford Fiesta with Turbo! (Yes, there actually was such a car.) After all, with a car THAT cool, you'd wanna get there quick so everybody can see you when you pull up in it!
My dad and his new wife constantly hound me about Armageddon. They told us that they are going to be so happy playing with the animals and birds and they'll be perfect and that we'll all be dead, etc., etc., etc. I just look at my dad and say "Bullshit! You don't like animals! You never even let us have a dog when we were kids! The only way you'll be happy is if they have NASCAR in surround sound in the New System! Oh, and to listen to you talk, dad, you're already perfect, so you have nothing to look forward to!"
My dad was a mechanic and I grew up working with him in the shop. My "field service" car when I was a kid was a naaaaaaasty big-block Mopar with two doors. If anybody made the mistake of riding with me out in "service", I'd take them on a ride they'd never forget! I got tired of cleaning their shit stains out of my seats, though, so eventually only my friends went out with me. Mission accomplished! Can anybody say McDonalds?? I still have the car, but I dropped the field service. I think I made the right choice.

I think the bigger question is why were Bill and Sharpton hanging out???
Burgertime, maybe bigots from different ends of the spectrum like to compare notes over dinner once in a while. I dunno. What's your guess?

A Half Serious Rant About Europe
by metatron inlike many americans, my image of europe often drifts into an o'reilly-esk reverie of cradle to grave.
social welfare recipients who will strike at a moments notice, let criminals run free and allow.

It could be down to the fact that they still have something to produce - compare this with the UK whose traditional manufacturing base has been all but wiped out by cheap imports. We are more in service industry now (call centres etc) - which doesn't 'produce' much. Could be similar with other countries too maybe?
EXACTLY!!! Hellllllooooo!!!! America????? WE don't make ANYTHING anymore. You can't even buy an American made car anymore. It's all either made from foriegn parts or foriegn labor. Everybody has an office job. Nothing gets produced in office buildings. Factories produce. It's part of the reason America has such a large trade deficit. We have nothing to trade! Seriously. We buy everything from China! Try to go to a local store and buy something American made. It used to be common. Now, if you find an American made product, it's a novelty!
As an American, I can tell you that we work harder than just about anybody else in the world. 40 hour work week? That's just a good start in America. Most successful people are working at least 60 hours a week. I know of a few guys working 3 jobs. 3 THREE!!! It ain't easy. Also, I don't know anybody who has 6 weeks vacation. After many years of work, I have managed to get 3 weeks vacation, but I rarely take more than 2 days of vacation back to back because work is too demanding. I usually use vacation time to do more work. Home improvement projects, auto repair, etc., etc. I have a brother who works at least 12 hours a day 7 days a week.
A lot of people are jealous of America's prosperity, but I assure you, most of us work very hard for it. If America doesn't start tightening the amount of money we let flow out of America to buy cheap crap from China, pretty soon we'll have no money to buy stuff from China or anywhere else. We'll all have to move to China.

LOL!!! Thanks for giving me my first laugh of the day.
Yep. Hey, can I get you to call my wife and explain the "timless patience" of black people to my wife? She gets upset with me way too much! Of course, she'd probably counter that by saying "It isn't that black part of me that's mad at him!" LOL
