It's such a sad case. Lawrence Hughes is hero in my eyes. I helped my wife, only 23 at the time, plot a course of suicide and carry out the plan. I'm pretty sure I could have influenced her to take treatment. The doctors thought so. I've never had the brains or the courage of Lawrence Hughes. I wish I did.
In my opinion, Bethany Hughes wasn't a victim of the Watch Tower Corporation because a corporation reduced, is just a piece of paper in a file cabinet. Bethany was set up and she was a victim of the Jehovah's Witness people and that's the point of this case. People with names and faces who might be laid off by Watch Tower someday to come and post here and be loved by the posters here. That makes me sick, and it's true.
The bastards won't be loved by me and neither will I love the Witness people who assisted in the murder of my wife or Witness people who assisted in the fracturing of my family.

How Were You "Screwed" By The Organization?
by minimus ini believe this thread will be many pages!.

Minimus, You're an interesting character. I enjoy you're threads and you're a good sport. I've always appreciated that.
You wrote: "Gary, the Org. is what makes it all work---just like the FDS. But try to define it perfectly. It's not that easy."
Minimus, To me it is easy. The "organization" is easily identified and defined by the Witnesses as well as the evidence. The "organization" is the legal corporations. A corporation is one piece of paper in a file in a court house, nothing more.
So, when I refer to the "organization" minus the Witness people, all I'm referring to is one piece of paper. I've watched paper, I've never seen a piece of paper do anything. I'm not afraid of one piece of paper, it's not interesting to me, and it doesn't make anything work. I've never heard of a corporation registering document screwing anybody, nor do I expect I ever will.
So, there . . . that's the "organization" minus the Witness people.
Now, would you like to talk about the Witness people? Because you started a thread that reads: How Were You "Screwed" By The Organization? Do you mean someone was screwed by one piece of paper? Or was someone screwed by the Witness people? -

So, it happened. Packed my things and left
by aligot ripounsous insome may remember, i wrote on an other thread that elders forbade me to give comments at the wt meeting, as i weaken the brothers' faith.
i wasn't satisfied with this outcome and, 10 days ago i sat with my wife on the front part of the kh (like in many khs, attendants pack on the back seats), in the middle of the row, right in front of the wt elder, and raised my hand insistently.
i was of course openly ignored but i didn't care, all that i wanted was verybody to see how they deal with independent members.

You got more guts than me. I took my frustration out on the kingdom hall door and I'm not even sure anybody saw me do it.
I didn't go back after I was called into the back room after the regular meeting was over. Before Dwight Harsh called me back, I had one foot out the door and one foot on a banana peel. Ya could have pushed me out the door with a feather. That back room meeting was a bulldozer approach for them. Dwight could have achieved the same (desired) results with much less effort (and time). -

My old friend minimus, often disagreeing but always agreeable, please answer me this.
You wrote: "The Organization really cares for no one but its own existence."
I agree, but . . . How do you separate the "Organization" from the people who, as an aggregate, make up the "Organization"? . . . Because I can't. -

I'm ashamed to admit, I did cemetery soliciting for Watch Tower INC. On the level of canvassing, that's the lowest I ever got in unpaid literature distribution. I might have been in adolescence at the time. The idiots in Brooklyn also came up with the bright idea for us to go door to door on Christmas morning. The replies at the cemeteries were passive, but NOT the replies on Christmas morning.
Many of these South Dakotans knew us by our bad reputation and they didn't take being solicited in their homes on Christmas morning by Jehovah's Witnesses very well. I don't blame them.
My dad drug me on these bad deals once but he never got me to cemeteries or out on Christmas day again. He was a bad man with a bad plan. He came from seeds of the early Jehovah's Witnesses that used to march with signs in front of churches and set up sound cars with loud speakers in front of a Catholic Church during mass and blast the church with Rutherford phonograph records.
The Rutherford Witnesses, the Jehovah's (Knorr/Franz) Witnesses, and now the Watch Tower (Larson/Adams) Witnesses have a long history of being arrogant, disrespectful, insulting, and downright mean. It doesn't take people long to figure out Jehovah's Witnesses and they remember a long time. -

BASHING the families of disfellowshiped ones
by Pistoff inas if the first assembly day was not bad enough, talking about the greedy, fame hungry witnesses who go to college and will not get blessings from jehovah, sunday was worse.. .
i could tell the wife was not happy the minute she came through the door.
after letting her get her "lemonade" in a glass, i said, "so, no rough talks today?".

I don't want manipulating Watch Tower Witnesses talking to me, so I'm glad to read the reinforced shunning stand. I have a much better life without them. Their crap don't fly with me. I have a one strike and you're out policy with Jehovah's Witness just because I know their weasel ways.

I challenge anyone to PROVE the governing body exists!

Jehovah's Witnesses has a body of governors? Who do they govern? The Watch Tower Corporations have directors . . . who do they direct? Do they govern and direct each other? I was told by Jehovah's Witnesses that the Jehovah's Witness people should follow those brothers taking the lead. I was told by Jehovah's Witnesses people that Jehovah's Witnesses don't follow any man . . . they only follow Jehovah.
If Jehovah's Witnesses don't follow any man, who do the leaders lead? Who to the governors govern? And who do the directors direct? Or is it maybe . . . that Jehovah's Witnesses DO follow men? -

Hi hamsterbait
I fit my own descriptions of teasers and pleasers. I was a believing walkaway for 18 years from 1974 till 1992. I floated somewhere between reality and a bad deal all that time. I was happy to read the writings of other former Witnesses. It gave me hope that I wasn't completely crazy.
I was in the position of standing alone against virtually everyone who had been important to me . . . my wife, my parents, my brother, aunts, uncles, and lifelong acquaintances. Was I crazy to think I could be right and all of them be wrong? It was so hard to imagine, that I worked to discredit myself to me. I failed to deny the obvious, and eventually I accepted that I might be right about the Jehovah's Witnesses.
I don't think you're supporting the Watch Tower. You're helping lots of people. You fill us in on insider stuff and help us obtain current literature. You show courage, you're courteous, smart, witty, and a good asset to the counter-Witness movement. Because you do your job, and I do mine, the Watch Tower has to work harder for fewer results.
My point for years has been that it's impossible for the Watch Tower to fail and it's employees and supporters to succeed. For the Watch Tower to fail, the employees and supporters have to fail first. We're seeing that now. We tried to warn them in every way we could but they disrespected us and continued to work with those trying to hurt us.
The Watch Tower Corporation Jehovah's Witnesses are gonna throw their people under the bus, one at a time, 400 at a time. We've been trying to tell them for years. Kent tried to help them with Watch Tower Observer. Simon's trying to help them. The Watch Tower Corporation isn't some abstract company rising out of the clouds and run by robots, it just people . . . Jehovah's Witness people.
They either gotta bail or they're gonna get nailed.
I think it's kind of ironic for members posting on an ex_Jehovah's Witness forum getting all pissed off over bad news for the Watch Tower Company.
I like their bad mews. I hope we get more. I hope all their volunteers are eating out of garbage cans on bum's alley before this is done.
