The fun of watching the Watch Tower Society is the "scavenger hunt" game it becomes. It seems to me it will never end. Just when I think we're done, somebody flips over another rock and off we go.

JW relative still speaking to us - now feeling that warm Christian love...
by besty inthe background is that we have been df'd for apostasy and are mostly being shunned.
the grandparents are all still speaking to us, some other relatives (on my side) are shunning us.. so only recently one of these grandparents gets a visit from two elders who inform them their relationship with us is a cause for talk amongst the congregation and it is viewed that they are in danger of becoming a sharer in our wicked works.

it is well documented by now that not one secular source supports the date given by the watchtower for the fall of jerusalem.
in the field of archaeology much work has been done since the 1800s when this date was first coined.

Is Satan actually the good guy, and Jehovah the evil usurper?
by 10p ina few years ago i read genesis again, and with a more objective mind, got the sense that satan was actually telling the truth, and that god was just trying to have humans be his slaves.
and god's reign over humans hasn't been all that pretty, in fact, its been downright awful.. 'course, i'm atheist now, so i wouldn't believe it even that way around - not literally anyway.
but i wondered if the writer/editors of genesis may have actually had this thought.. anyone know of any sources that explore this idea in depth?.

It's called "Trick or Tract". It's an old Witness trick going back to the days we worked cemeteries on Memorial Day here in the United States.
We even had to go in service on Christmas day. Those were the days of the great promoter Nathan Knorr trained in the footsteps of the P.T. Barnum of religion, Joe Rutherford. -

To me it seems more than a little narcissistic that the Jehovah's Witnesses' number one message printed by their publishing company is the claim that Jehovah's Witnesses have the best publishing company.
No wonder current Witnesses are doing hit and run door to door literature distribution. If I were them, I'd be too embarrassed to let anybody see the literature. I swear that Revelation book had to have been produced in Iowa as corny as it is. Seven trumpets my ass! -
