Faraon, My father did this years ago. Now my sons are 30 and 28 and have shunned me for almost a decade.
Your strategy agrees with mine now. Had to do again, I would not have let my children be within a thousand miles of a practicing JW, including their mother. During the time they were infected, I was a believing walkaway and my wife was practicing. I was a fool. All too late now for me to do anything to change anything except write about my experiences and maybe warn others of the dangers of theism and religion.
I would never marry a theist or let one near my children again.

I told a MS EVERYTHING today!
by meat pie inthis old chap is quite sweet really, and i wasn't going to say anything much.i studied with him and his daughter and they are neighbours, but there was just us two in my house (!
) and it all came pouring out.i get sick of the 'when are you coming back'...'what else is there'... where else would you go' questions, and i don't even know what started it, it was a bit of a blur, i went on for at least an hour and 'brought out the following points'.
have you had your new blood card yet?

The old chap is probably like my father. He is a Witness because his mother was one. Eighth grade education, ignorant, superstitious, and afraid Jehovah will kill him like his mother taught him unless he remains faithful to the Watch Tower Society because he believes God is using it to publish his will on his schedule.
He reveres *the truth* and he likes being a Witness. He likes the quick builds and is proud to be a part of it all. He is proud of the printing facilities and the farms and sees his work for them as counting for something. He sees it all as real and important with an excuse or a justification for every disconfirmation imaginable. He sees his life of drudgery and ritual service and routine meetings as the best life he could have ever had. He has stayed a Witness in spite of every reason in the world to quit. He sees himself as knowledgeable because he can look up all sorts of things in the Watchtower Index and he sees himself as honest and loyal. He is proud of himself.
I let him into my home and he studied with my sons and taught them I am a bad association and now they shun me and he shuns me too and it is all in the name of God and religion and Jesus. Just an old chap in a suit carrying a bookbag carrying a virus worse than any disease known to medical science.

by Jigrigger injws don't peddle literature for the wb&ts.
the actual peddler is the corp itself.
the members are actually the buyers in this operation.

Good post, Thanks! A part of it all that I find interesting is how the Society sold me my motives for buying 48 magazines a month and going out in the cold to peddle them.
The problem with selling fear is when the fear goes, so does the motivation.
I think they went way too far to the left with all the divinely directed claims and the outlandish predictions. But I guess they have achieved many of their goals and will most likely continue to do so.
A book publishing company with guaranteed sales and an all volunteer unpaid distribution network with all the book sellers guaranteed payment after they are dead, Hahahaha What a beautiful scam!

Hi Farkel
I would have thought that the Society that wanted to claim they were appointed by God himself would have thought to have gotten his name right like Heaven says. Oh well!
I don't suppose we will be seeing any Awake! articles on this topic any time sooh huh?

Yes SS, Once I asked the Rabbi what God's name was and he asked me. "If there is only one God, why is it important?". He said God's name is only important to polytheists. He said they call him My Lord or 'adoh-nay'.
I asked him if the Hebrew people ever quit using God's name and he said no. It was not used by the people but it was used by the High Priest on the Day Of Atonement in the High Holy and they never have quit using it. He said it is pronounced "Yah-weh".
I asked him what is his favorite translation of the Bible and he said they just learn Hebrew and read it in the original Hebrew.
More . . .

Hi SS, My issue was the Watch Tower Publishing Corporation who ownes the Jehovah's Witness franchise apparently published a book in 1972 that indicated in it's text that the name that other group published documents indicate is the only name to be called on for salvation from murder by the god of the same name as the god who's name is a mistake.
This would not upset me unless I took all this serious and I had relied on the name that the publishers indicate is a mistake for salvation from the same god who is such an exacting god as to appoint the governing body to represent the faithful and discreet slave class who are only men subject to making error but who are being guided by holy spirit except some of those are women and are divinely directed and who have never thought the Word was God except they printed that in this book too back in the days when hard cover books were cheaper to make and they still don't know when Eve was created except they wrote it was in the same year as Adam. :-)
