Hi pseudo, I should hope you are pissed. A thief came into your home and stole from you. I bet you were hospitable to them at one point like we all were and I bet you even tried to function with them in between you and your wife like we did too. I think you were kind like we wanted to be and they kept taking and taking.
They do this with every single family they touch. They steal trust and loyalty. The rest is easy.
I don't want a Witness within 100 miles of us. They carry a plague and it infects and kills families. We are the fruitage, the product of the Watch Tower Publishing Corporation and it's agents, the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Sorry, hope your life is better now.

This spring I was at home alone when a man I didn't know rang the doorbell and handed me an envelope with my wife's name handwritten on the front. He said here is an invitation for your wife.
It was an invitation to the Watch Tower Printing Corporation sponsored memorial meeting. This was a public meeting, she was invited and I was not and this scum bag had the guts to hand it to me. Unfriendly and divisive and rude and the Jehovah's Witnesses don't see one thing wrong with it.
This is just one example of the tactics this group uses to divide families, isolate members (or potential members) and to boldly display it's hostility to spouses they view as unfriendly to them. They have no respect for the marriage they themselves performed nor do they see the family connection above their own agenda. They are evil and a social cancer and they are not to be trusted on any level.
Oh, was the Awake! current? :-)

Watchtower Has Statute of Limitation on SIN?
by Nanoprobe instatement from the vicki boer trial .
lawyer colin stevenson argued that momm and his allies were confusing the spiritual law of the witnesses, which imposes a three-year statute of limitations on such things as abuse, with the law of the land, which requires immediate reporting.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=36530&site=3.
was anyone aware of this?

So sin is like bread at the bakery counter? Fresh . . . or stale?
I used to search for Watch Tower Publishing Corporation related quotes with references. With all these interviews with Brown and others, newspaper articles, books by current and former members, and TV documentaries, I am overwhelmed with sources.
I have more Society quotes available since 1995 than in all the history before then. The last 2 years have been phenomenal.
The Society's old policy was to ignore all and never reply to a charge or give an interview. It was really, really rare that they reacted to anything. Now they are almost spontaneous. A big change!
Anyone have any ideas why the radical change?

DID YOU EVER LEARN anything because you were a JW?
by minimus inwas there ever anything positive from being a witness?
could you say that because you were a witness at least......or was it all negative?

I learned a lot as a Witness. I learned that all is often not as it seems. I learned that I can't trust people who I think I should be able to trust, like relatives or parents.
I learned I am not as tough as I liked to think. That was good. I learned willpower won't work on real problems and 4 door cars are not all bad.
All I learned was positive. I'm not glad it happened and I wouldn't want to repeat it, but it's my history and I can't change it.

Hi Snoozy, All,
My friend Bob was given 6 months to live in 1992. His bladder cancer had spread to his glandular system, making it stage 2. He did take all the chemo treatments. His cancer went into remission and he lived a good life. He did finally die in 2001 in his mid 70's. I had many good times with him and our friends and families during those 9 years he lived after the cancer diagnosis.
His outlook was very poor when he started the chemo treatments. I am glad he did it.
Best wishes,

plmkrzy you wrote:
why would you want to donate it to the KH or even ask?
Oh! Okay . . . I was still a JW then . . . at least in my own mind.
It's all okay. I did something better. I'm glad now that they refused the bookcase.

Hey plmkrzy, Do you wonder why I would make the bookcase from Walnut wood? Or why I chose to make a bookcase? Or why I wanted to donate it to the Kingdom Hall? Or why I would want a memorial? Or why I would want a memorial to her?
I am happy to answer any of these, or other questions. Just ask me exactly what you want to know.

Hi scootergirl,
These guys and the employees of Sunshine were great. My mother went with me to make arrangements the day after Delores died. No one came forward to offer to help with a lunch after the funeral and after waiting a day, I called a JW woman who was a friend of Delores's sister and asked her if she would help. Her first question was, "Who is going to pay for it?".
She did help and made coffee. She sent me a bill for the coffee.

Guest 77, I still have to see how aged Witness parents deal with illness and death. I hope it is better than they dealt with wellness and life.
Lady Lee, You are so right. Thanks for your support and comments.
stichione, Thanks for being here.
Dutchie, I married a good woman from a bad family who practiced an evil religion. I am sorry I have the experience to relate but I think others might benefit in some way from reading it. Thanks for your reply.
Lisa, I am not special. I just witnessed insult to tragedy and wrote about it. Thanks for saying that though.
Farkel, Yes, my request to Delores' relatives for help was no different than if I had asked them to come help us pack for a vacation. At the time I was actually shocked that they said no. Their contempt for decency didn't anger me until much later.
On my humor . . . my experiences didn't sour me on everything, just the JW's :-)
minimus, thanks for your reply. These were not bad people. They just saw unpaid religious literature distribution more important then helping their dying sister and daughter.gb
